i am from puerto rico and my great-grandfather( jose Guadalupe) came from the virgin isl i beleve at the end of the 19th century and married my great-grandmother and it is believed in my family that my great grandfather had many children with different women i know of 10 or 12 but it is beleved he had more beacause he left my great grandmother when my grandmother (ana guadalupe) was only 7yrs old in the early 1930,s most of my granmothers half brothers and sisters were born in NY. if you can find out more info on what i told you send me an e mail at bellangelic@hotmail.com

I was born in NYC but raised in Salinas, Puerto Rico. My father is Jose Guadalupe. We got the last name from my fathers mom, my grandmother. She was Guadalupe also. Currently I only know three Guadalupe's, my older brother Jose, myself and a friend from PR also, Daniel Guadalupe.

Robert perhaps you and I can write to each other, I have relatives in Ponce, PR on my mothers side.

To all others, if you have any info I would greatly appreciate an e-mail message. Ive been trying to find about the Guadalupe name for a long time and its roots. Ive even tried to get info from Spain, but did not have much luck.

My mother was Luisa Navarro Guadalupe. She was the daughter of Jesus Navarro and Cecilia Guadalupe of Caguas Puerto Rico. My grandfather Jesus Navarro, and his brother Gregorio married two sisters of the surname Guadalupe.
The Navarros and Guadalupes of Caguas came to PR from The Canary Islands in early 1800's.

Hi. My name is Kami Guadalupe. I read your response to knowledge, aka Luis Guadalupe. I wonder if you know if your Jose Guadalupe was related to my grandfather Domingo Guadalupe. He also was born in Puerto Rico, Vieques, and did have children with various women. The children that I know of, all seem to have been born in St. Croix VI.
