Detha Hickey
BELMORE-Detha Skipper Baldree Hickey, 84, of Belmore passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Orange Park Medical Center.
Mrs. Hickey was born in Avon Park on September 3, 1923 to the late Robert C. and Florida "Skipper" Baldree. She was a lifelong resident of Clay County. She was a retired school bus driver the the Clay County School System and also worked for Mallards and Watson's grocery in Keystone Heights. Mrs. Hickey was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, Florida Farm Bureau and Clay County Cattleman's Association.
Mrs. Hickey is survived by: son, Eugene Hickey of Belmore; brothers, Dyal W. and Charles A. Baldree, both of Keystone Heights; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 9, at Beulah Baptist Church in memory of Detha Hickey.
The viewing will be on Thursday, May 8, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church.
