Hi,
I'm from Sydney, Australia but originally from Hong Kong.
I'm also tracking down the HO (何) family genealogy.
My grandmother (CHIU-Yim-King) and her entire family migrated from China to Hong Kong probably in the 1940's after WW2. Due to the mayhem of migration I assume we have lost contact with my grandfather (HO).
I'd be glad to help out, but I don't know where to start!
gymlaw - There is a suspicion that my grandfather was a military/government person. There is also a suspicion that the our bloodline is not of Cantonese decent. We are tall and have pale white skin that's not a yellow tan like the shorter Cantonese people. In fact, I am 185cm (6 foot 2?) and I have a FULL beard, which makes little sense as none of my mother's side nor ANY Cantonese people I know have much facial hair, let alone a beard.
Cheers.
