the david huffman was first married to jane agee they had children i do know they devorced and he remarried he was my great great great grandfather
he was born in tn. not sure where . married in osage co. mo. lived in dallas co. and hickory co. mo. he did live near alexander huffman in hickory co. east of preston mo.

Hi Crystal , To let you know if you don't already , I am your second cousin Steve in Charlotte . Yes , the one called "Fat" real name Henry Booker Huffman , was our , your dads and my uncle . There were originally 11 children which I knew all but one . John Huffman died before I was born . Your Grandfather "Ball" , was my uncle and Eva my aunt by marriage . I have found all of the living cousins with the exception of 2 out of our family . And there are alot of them ! When I come up maybe we can meet , I haven't seen you since you were little . I have also seen some of the articles you have voiced your opinion about the mining operation on the Coles property and agree with you , Its Not a good idea ! hi my name is crystal huffman i live in Pittsylvania County VA. The names do not sound familar but my dads name is William Amos Huffman he has 3 sisters and one brother. Their mother and father(my grandparents) were Eva Dove and William Onyx Huffman. he had several brothers, one died several years ago and lived in Louisanna they called him Fats not sure what his real name was. Sorry - I believe I am actually looking for MARY MAGDALINE HUFFMAN, b1793 and married LEWIS MOYERS. (On her son Peter's death certificate, his mother is listed as "Alice Huffman", but he was almost 100 when he died and think this was an error on the first name. Census reports and other records have her as "MARY")

Hi. I have info on Christopher Huffman (1753-1807)

Children were Leonard b.1778, Jacob b.1780, Joseph 1782-1860 (this is MY ancestor branch), and Adam b.1784

Christopher's father was Conrad Huffman b.1715 somewhere in Germany, and his mother was Elizabeth? Kuykendal? b.1726

I also have names and dates for Christopher's brothers and sisters.
Don't know anything about Adam Huffman moving to Edgar Co., IL.

I also have a listing of a gedcom file linking Christopher to his father conrad.

I am looking for the family of J.A. Huffman born in VA abt 1830...he was in California by the mid-1850s, married to F.A. and with children: Ruth A.-1853, Amanda -1854, Henry L.-1856,born in California. By 1860 he is is Salem, Marion Co. Oregon - he has 2 more children with F.A. who are born in ORegon - Isaac Frank -1860 (or Frank Isaac)and Emily -1863. He remarried an Elizabeth (Eva Elizabeth) before 1870 and has 5 more children with her: Clara, Lula, Albert, Bertha and Edward. He remains in Salem, OR thru 1880 - then I find no trace of him. Elizabeth appears to remarry a Mr. Lucas and is on the 1920 census with Bertha and her husband- Frank Albrich- as widowed. I would really like to connect J.A. Huffman to his family in VA. Any help or information greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Alexander married Elizabeth CORK on 04-09-1805 in UNKNOWN. Elizabeth was born 04-17-1787 in Woodward, Fairfield Co., SC. She died 09-09-1838 in Jena, Greene Co., AL.

Alexander HUFFMAN and Elizabeth CORK had the following children:

1. Daniel HUFFMAN was born 09-10-1807 in Fairfield Co., SC. He died 08-18-1881 in Milam Co., TX. He married Susan Dickey, d/o John Wiseman Dickey & Lura Agnes Nave McDaniel. They are my ggg-grandparents.

He could very possibly be my husband's gggg-grandfather. My husband's ggg-granfather was Samuel W. Huffman b.1785 in Lexington County, SC. Samuel had 6 children 2 of which were named Daniel b.1807 SC and Elizabeth b.1819 or 1820. I don't know for certain but there is a good possibility of a family connection here. Daniel was Samuel's oldest son and Elizabeth was his youngest child. Is it possible he named them after his parents? I'm still searching for a way to confirm this.

I have informationthey may be hopeful,it seems that he is also my great grandfather.Elijah Huffman born Nov.18 1793 died 1878(alot older than Mary Ann(nee;possibly"Gibson")who was born 1828 and died 1882.His father was Elias Born Aug 26,1768. in Ulster New York.He married Married Nancy Reed born 1791.Elias died Apr 29,1831.His father was Elias Sr. born in 1730 Court Limrick Ireland.died 1793.HIs father was Phillip born 1708 Germany. His father was Phillipus P Hoffman(spelling of last name changed over years)born 1669 Germany.And his father I think was John Hoffman born 1655 Germany.I havent researched all the woman that married the Huffman men over the years. MUSCATINE, Iowa - Wilma B. Houser Huffman, 88, Muscatine, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at Lutheran Homes.

The Rev. Jason Crossen will officiate the services. Casket bearers are Amy Redman, John Houser Jr., Brad Marcellus, Ashley Marcellus, Mike Doyle and Tim Doyle. Honorary casket bearers are Kellie Freyermuth and Lisa Timmons. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Lutheran Homes, Bishop Hayes School or donor's choice.

Mrs. Huffman was born Aug. 19, 1916, in Muscatine, the daughter of Jess and Maude Tucker Blake. She first married Wilfred Houser on Dec. 18, 1935. He preceded her in death in March 1972. She then married Hubert Hoffman on Nov. 4, 1979. He preceded her in death in October 1995.

She was a member of Ss Mary and Mathias Parish.

She and husband Wilfred owned and operated Rink's Clover Farm Market.

She enjoyed bowling, fishing and camping.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Houser and wife Carol of Illinois City, Ill. and John Houser and wife Elaine of Rochester Hills, Mich.; six stepchildren, Frederick Huffman, Hubert James Huffman, Janet Chavis, Rodney Huffman, Holly Huffman and Teri Huffman; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter; a sister, Sylvia Aulf of Fruitland; two sisters-in-law, Irene Cochran and Helen Blake, both of Muscatine; and a very special friend, Juanita Bridges of Muscatine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, five brothers, six sisters and one stepson.

Maybe we can help each other. I'm not familiar with your ancestor but I would bet my grandfather is related somehow. I've been trying to track down ANY information on his side off the family. His name was Alvin Erastus Huffman B:12 Feb 1900 in GA. His father was William Alfred Huffman born approx 1869 in TN, I've been told Chattanoga, but don't know how accurate that is. I can share what little information I have if it would help

I'm probably not going to be much of help since I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, but I do know that my grandfather's family had some dealings in that area of TX. Unfortunately, my Grandfather Alvin Huffman was born in 1900 and I'm hitting brick walls when it comes to this branch of the family. My grandfather was Alvin Huffman, B. Baxley, GA Feb 1900. His father was William A Huffman born 1869 in Chatanooga, TN (can't confirm city) and supposedly his grandfather was an Alfred Huffman/Hoffman. I just thought I would share although there may not be any connection at all.

Hi: Not sure if I have e-mailed you before. I go from working on the Garrison Family Tree to Huffman Family Tree to Phelan Family Tree, etc. so get a bit confused. I remember reading some info on an Elijah and Jacob Huffman so am wondering if they are related to my grandmother. She was Mary Ann Huffman who married Herbert James Garrison. There probably is some connection since they also lived in Moscow, Ontario where my mother was born. Any info you can give me would be appreciated.

G.B. Huffman was my husband's g.father. The infant's name was L.A. Huffman, but they called her "Robin." G.B.'s wife was Ida Olene(Emerson) Huffman. They had 3 boys and 4 girls
whose names were: Velman, Lavane, Loye, Juanita, James(Jake), Walter, and Paul.

I am Sarah's grandson, Thomas A Bradley, Jr. The 1860 Census of Overton County, TN (pg. 163) shows Elizabeth (40 yrs). Sara annd Mary Emeline, twins were 6 years. I am seeking the grave of Sarah C. Bradley. My researcher says she died in 1897 and was buried near Cave City, Ky. Hope this helps. Hope you can provide info on Sarah
