My Grandfathers name is Rufus Thrower from Bearden, Arkansas. Alot of Jumiels stay there as well.

Looking for my GGGG Grandmother. Believe her name is Jolly Junior. She may of had a daugther named M (Minnie) Junier, then turn to Deborah M. Junior-Pollard-Hardison b. 1807 Jolly married Christian Pollard around 1827. Then she married (unknown) Hardison. Deborah M.Hardison married William Bennett-had a child named, Wm Bennett b.est 1842. She remarried to a Rufus M. Hinds-had two children Rufus Benj Hinds/Hines b.est 1843 and Arminda Minnie Hinds/Hines b.1847. All assistance is welcomed

James was my father's, John, older brother. My Dad's side of the family told me about him. I noticed your screen name is shabazz06. I had an uncle who has since passed named Willie. Are you by chance my uncle Willie's wife or one of his children, if your are one of the children are Aaron, Kelly, or Dujuan? Evie and Pearl (a.k.a. Pearlie Mae) passed years ago. The family was raised in Birmingham, Alabama. Where I and most the remaining family have resided for as long as I can remember, although a few have moved out of the state.
Prior to coming to Birmingham, Alabama my grand parents told me they moved from "the country". I'm not sure from which county they relocated. My grand mother told me that jobs were scarce in "the country", except for jobs working the fields, so they relocated to Birmingham, where jobs were plentiful.

I know only a small amount of James. My Dad would tell us, my siblings and me, how James being the elderest was a real tough guy.
My Dad told us that James married a Puerto Rican woman and fathered to sons with her. After his death I think his death was over money and it was setup for two women stab him to death. Feel free to contact me.

I Have been research my family history and One of my cousins had found Roselie Junior (she would be my great great great Grandmother), she married Jacob Hilburn and they lived in Paulding and Polk County, Georgia. and I am tring to locate her Parent, siblings, Grandparent, etc... Thanks for the census information. Alas one place I have found the family is in the 1850, 1860, 1870 census, I have been to James and Amelia's graves, I have death record for James, and I did find a notice in the newspaper when Amelia died (lightning). Alas little else on the family except their daughter Alice from whom I descend. THey are an elusive family.

My family history is very similar. I am from the Alabama/ Tn/ Ga Juniors. I've also been told that that Junior was also from Gianano, Sylvesterwho came to Va. from Itali in 1746? Sound familiar?

My grandfather is James Junior. I have traced his paternal side to Hampton Junior 1850census, Paulding Co. Ga. I assume this is the same Hampton in the 1840 cesus also. Descended from Milton/ Minton/ M.S.(?) Junior I would appreciate any info for this time period or earlier. Also have heard the Junior is a corruption of Italian name "Gianano" to "Juniel" to "Junior".

Census 1850, Vigo Co., Indiana lists a James Junior age 28, born in KY, spouse Annalia F. age 23, born in TN, and 3 y/o child Sarah E.

The 1860 census for Blount co. Alabama lists Jesse Travis as Travis age 20. (I'm currently tracing his brother Milton/ Minton.)
I also have a J.T. Junior enlisted 9 Sept.1862, Gadsden, Al. as a Confederate soldier with Co.F 12 Regt. Al. Cav. James W., Henry J., and MintonJunior all enlisted 23 Sept. 1861 with Co. A Al. inf. in Middleton, Al.

Hi may name is Neysa Harris and my mother's maiden name is Juniel. I was born in Milwaukee Wis, in 1964.

I am trying to figure out how close the Juniel anscestors are to the Junior ancestors.

I asked my mother and she said that at Ellis Island the people there did not know how to spell Junior so they spelled Juniel instead. Is this part of the story that you know?

My grandfather Albert Juniel Sr. was born in Harrell, Arkansas. So am very sure that my mother is a distant cousin of yours. My father and mother travel to Miwaulkee quite a bit for something called Miwaulkee days and a big family reunion every year in August.

I believe your James is related to my Alexander Junior, he is also buried in Island Creek Cemetery, Jasper County Illinois, along with William C. Junior. I know William was one of 10 his parents were Joshua and Elizabeth Junior. I have a link between Alex and William and believe James is a third brother. I would be happy to trade any information I have on any of them!

I would love to swap information. I believe that James and William are brothers as they lived close to each other through out their lives but I don't have the proof. I do not know how Alexander fits in and haven't tried to fit him yet so would be very interested in what you have on him. Feel free to email me personally.

I am interested in finding/trading info on James Junior. He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky August 1822. He moved to Vigo County, Indiana where he met Amelia (Milly) Burnham and they married 10 Sept. 1846. They then moved to Jasper County, Illinois where James died 19 August 1878. I believe his father is Joshua Junior but have no proof of that.

My family came from Arkansas, Many were from Harrell, Ark.
My grandfather was Floyd Junior. He migrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the early 1900's. My first cousin Darrell Moore is also on the message board. Hope to hear from you Darrell.
Lester, maybe we are related, since Junior, is such an odd
name. One person I do know is our cousin is Marvin Junior

If you go back far enough on my Juniors,you run into the Juniel
name also-in VA.I wonder if your Juniors and mine are connected in any way.Mine left VA and eventually made it to AL.
