I know it is a coincidence, but my Keady family lived in Washington County, Illinois. My g g Grandfather was Moses Keady. His spouse was Jane Norris Keady.

My father was Jon Douglas Keady. My grandparents were Glenn and Edith Keady of Wakeeny, KS. Their parents were Samuel Renwick and Ella jane Keady. I have some information, but i am looking for more. I am ever so glad to hear from you. I am your father's first cousin, the daughter of Bill and Thelma Keady. I knew your grandparents when they lived next door to my folks and then your grandmother after Uncle Glen died. I have quite a bit of genealogy information and am happy to share. Sean, I have Moses Keady's Civil War record, as well as his land and marriage records. I also have his parents' marriage record and his father's naturalization declaration record. We have mutual cousins in San Diego and Oregon. The one in Oregon is descended from Samuel Keady who was Moses' brother. The one in San Diego is descended from James Keady who was our Samuel Renwick Keady's brother. If you can contact me privately I can perhaps do some sharing of these records.

We have a possible family pedigree that goes back to Co Donegal Ireland 3 more generations. You understand that the given name Moses was used in every generation including my dad's. Dad's name was William Moses Keady. Then we didn't use it for our own children. Your dad, was David Glenn, wasn't he? He had an uncle-in-law who was David Glenn, married Ella Jane's sister, Mary.
The father of my great grandfather Moses Keady was also Moses Keady. Then his father was something else, which we haven't discovered. But there was an uncle named Moses. Then the direct line of Moseses takes over again.
We have a record of Moses and Samuel Keady of Co Donegal Ireland being on the Spinning Wheel or Flax Bounty list there in 1776.

Moses is my husband's gg-grandfather and we know almost nothing about the Keady family going back in history starting with Moses. He had a son, Matthew Norris Keady (DOB 1-23-1877, died 4/1957 In Little Rock, Arkansas) , who is my hubby's g-grandfather. Matthew married Sarah Myrtle Wallace in 1903. I have more info on Matthhew, who my husband was named after. Matthew's son is Norris Keady, my husband's grandfather. His father was George Norris Keady, who is deceased. We'd like to go backwards in our geneology, if anyone can help us out! We think my husband and I are very distant relatives and would like to find the connections. Thanks!
