When and where did John L. Keel die? What was Sarah's maiden name? Sarah E. was not John Keel's first wife. The 1880 census for Union Twp., Ripley County lists California, Francis T., and Thomas B. Keel as stepchildren to Sarah who is now head of the family. Sarah's own children are Joseph L. and James W. Keel.

Joseph L. married Lucindy whose maiden name is unknown. Did he marry her in Ripley County? They were in Lone Star Township, Wagoner County, Oklahoma in 1910. Their two oldest children, Luther A. and Maciel A. were born in Texas. Hazel, Hemey A., Joe, and Hassie were born in Oklahoma.

I am in the process of moving, and in packing came across some photographs, obituaries and other genealogy info that my sister had given to me from somewhere in our family, that I hadn't seen before.

Along with clippings and other photos, there is a photograph of a small boy and on the back is written "Henry Grady Keel Born Oct 8th, 1903. The 10th child of Henry Keel and Nancy Jane McFall Keel. He was about 6 mo old when this was made."

Very little is known about my great-grandmother Mary Keel..not even her parent's name. I hope by researching through her brothers and sisters I can find out more of her parent's name and her childhood years. Mary was supposedly born May 3, 1864, died in 1957 in Willits, CA and married Lewis Allen Way Feb. 7, 1888 in Tracy City, TN, witnesses: Henry & Hula Snow. I have all the information on her children, it is Mary's brothers and sisters info that might help me learn her parent's names etc., and other knowledge. The oral history some remember is that she went to work as a house-keeper for others

Wife was Dollie, They had one son Auther, daughters were

I am looking for information about George R. Keel (b: 16 July 1883, possibly in TN). He married Delia Gray in 1908/1909.

They lived in Humphreys Co., TN, in 1910, with son Hursel, George's mother (probably Lucia), and George's brother James (b 1886/1887).

They lived in Lincoln Co., TN, in 1920 with sons George W. (age 5) and Henry (age 14 months).

George became a widower in 1928, and may have remarried later in life.

He passed in Missouri in 1958.

Any info would be appreciated.

Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Keel received a telegram Monday of last week that their son, Nathan Keel, S 1/c had landed at San Diego, California. Seaman Keel has been in the Navy over three years and has spent 23 months on foreign service. He spent 16 months in the Aleutian Islands and was sent to Okinawa. Though he did not expect to be at home before the middle of the month because of transportation, yet he arrived this week. They have two other sons in the service, William M. Keel S 1/c of the Navy, who is returning home and Sgt. Elliott Keel of the Army. Sergeant Keel is in Germany and has just recovered from an operation.

Searching for descendents of Pauline Gschwend Keel and August Keel who had three children - Pauline (3 Jun 1909-31 Oct 2000), August 21 Nov 1911-_May 1975, and Josephine.
Pauline Keel married George Zeman and they had three children, George, Mary Ann and Georgina. August Keel married but do not believe he had any children. Josephine Keel married Eddie Smith, they lived in Little Ferry NJ and had eight children - I have no names of these children. It is believed that Eddie Smith was a truck driver and Josephine drove a school bus. I am doing a Gschwend family tree and would like to get input from Pauline Gschwend's descendents.

Looking for information on a Henry Keel living in Pontotoc County in 1888. In 1888 Henry was accused of murder later to be self defense and acquitted. In the court records there is an Annie Keel nee McCarty was a witness.
Would like to find out how Annie and Henry were connected.
Annie Keel is listed on the Dawes Roll in 1897 married to J.D. Perry.
Annie died 1902 and left everything to her mother in law Annie Perry.

Jim was beleived to be an outlaw biker.
Jim has lived in Florida, Detroit, Michigan, and Ohio.
Jim had a family, wife (ex-wife?) and kids that he desperately missed.
Jim was in a V A Center for treatment of PTSD and drug addiction in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

I am trying to add any information I can to an old family I researched many years ago - Keel/Kiell/Kuhl. Johannes Kiell/Kuhl came to Philadelphia, PA in 1742. He had a daughter, Anna, who married Jacob Lenhart in 1760. Anna Keel was born 1738 and died 1791. This is all I have been able to find on this family. 11/12/00...My Great Grandfather,James L. Keel, was born in Germany in l846, came to Martin Co., N.C. just prior to the Civil War. He joined the Confederate Army at age 15 (enlistment states l8)and returned to Martin Co. after the war. One brother(first name unknown) came with him from Germany...however he moved on to Texas settled there. We have no record of the brothers first name. I hope someone in Texas has info. on that brother...would love to know what happened to him. Is anyone researching this Keel family from Beaufort, NC (I believe Benjamin is related to Hardy Keel). Benjamin and Lucretia are found in Troup Co., GA in 1840. They are on the 1850 census in Tallapoosa Co., AL with William Keel and wife Mary in the next house. Benjamin is found in Chambers Co., AL 1860 onward. looking for info on Elijah Keel who married Lucy ? They were living in Stewart Co/Houston Co TN at the 1850 and 1870 census. Three children - Stephen, Calla Donia (Dony) who married John Allen Halliburton and William. The 1880 census showed them divorced and Lucy was living with her daughter. She was born bet 1828-1833 but birthplace may be either TN or MS she gave both on records. There is an Elijah Keel living in Christian Co KY in 1880 - Stewart Co TN and Christian Co KY border. Pete, Fern, Bobby, Debbie, Dan, Sandy, Sara, Max, Jimmy- 1976, Cabdel, Dee, Rick and Melanee, Grade 7 age 12, 1975. Some of the older photos were made at Lucerne photographers. There is one photo of a young girl with Whipple Heights 1960-61 on the front of it.
Diane and Nancy might be sisters by the way the photos are taken. These photo albums span many, many years.

There is a tombstone photo of Lulu E. Konovsky b. 1859 - d. 1956 with Nancy 2yrs and Diane 3 years that was developed in SEP 1956. In onother photo, there is a John with these girls and he is about 1 and a half years older than Diane.

I also find many photos of a business called the T shirt Emporium with employees.

Another photo of a young man reads " For Nancy Taken Oct 1975." Written by it is "Danny, fresh out of the Marines.

I am looking for a Mabel Keel, born abt 1925 in Marshall Co, OK. She married ? Pike around 1945. Her mother, Louisa Hays, was fullblood Chickasaw and also a deaf mute. My grandfather, Solomon Ned, would be Mabel's half-brother.

my dad's name was Charles Norman Keel married to Barbara Welch...Indiana 1950.He died in 1982. His Father ... Frank Govenor Keel, wife Ora May Gunn.

Help, My fathers family is from anderson indiana, and later moved to toledo ohio area. I can not find Aaron Lemuel Keel (my grandfather) birth records i do know that he was born in anderson or florida indiana on 4 August of 1892
he married a Cecil Forest Baker of anderson indiana 8, August of 1914. He may have been the child of Andrew Keel and Anzelia Farrow, not sure but siblings in the 1920 census match his and my father can remember some of them. If this is correct Andrews father came from north carolina and married his wife from indiana according to the census info State Ohio Lucas county Adams Township
