In my research, I have come across some
KRUSE family that was written about in local St. Peter/Loogootee/Fayette County magazine. I received this info years ago, and just found it again. The article was called: VILLAGE OF ST. PETER 1894-1994
In this article there were several
KRUSE mentioned. This leads me to believe they are all related in some manner. The names mentioned were: HENRY
KRUSE, CHARLES
KRUSE, JOHN F. KRUSE, ARTHUR
KRUSE,
LIZZIE KRUSE.
Henry
KRUSE owned an operated a
Hop &
Ale Store in 1904.
John F. Kruse was nominated the Village
Clerk, he owned a
Barber Shop, a store J.F. Kruse &
Sons which sold furniture, Pianos & Organs, also was an Undertaker and Funeral
Director.
My decendants come from John
Joachim KRUSE and Mary Maas: Son:
Johann Heinrich KRUSE who had 6 children (
Sophia,
Henrietta,
Friederich Heinderich, Unknown, Maria) by first wife Maria S.J. EHLERT. After her death, he remarried to Mariah (Maria) Pingle (
Borchert) and they had one son: John H. Kruse.
I have never been able to locate the siblings of
Johann Heinrich KRUSE. Could the aforementioned Henry actually be my John Henry? Could Charles, John, Arthur and
LIZZIE be his siblings?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
