Andrew GARAIG was my husband's granfather. He was born 24 Jun 1894 in Fresno, CA His father was Francois GARAIG b. 9 Jan 1858 in La Maison Penacq, Sarrance, France d. 16 May 1923 in Bakersfield, Kern Co, CA. His father was Jean GARAIG-LABACHOTTE of Serrance France. The name was changed when the family came to USA some kept GARAIG some LABACHOTTE. I understand that some of the family went to So. American and the name became GARAY.

Andrew's sister Jennie married John LALANNE. Also while in France the LALANNE name appears as witnesses to marriages and births.
