My Laurences are from LA and TX. My grandmother (maiden name Laurence) said that when one of her brothers moved away. He could not spell very well (or something like that) and started spelling his name with a W. Now I have the added task of trying to hunt down W's as well as U's. I hope that your search is going better than mine. I have been searching for a while for information on a Mack David Laurence who is buried in Silver Creek Cemetary in Leesville, LA. No one has come forward with any information and my Grandmother is getting very forgetful. Mack is her Dad.... however, she does not remember much about his family. I don't know of any brothers or sisters and have hit a brick wall at this point.
