Mrs. Ellen Curran, wife of George B. Curran of Belvidere, aged 76 years, passed away last Friday after a long illness. Mrs. Curran was a sister of the late William H. Leary, and the family formerly lived in this vicinity. Funeral services were held at Belvidere Monday morning and were attended by a number of local relatives, including the Mose, William and Harry Leary families, Mrs. Clyde Day, Mrs. H. L. Kennedy,
Mrs. and Mrs. Harry Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Barry. Miss Mary Cook, 42 years old, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Cook of near Westerfield Corners, also died last Wednesday and was buried at Seward Saturday. Her mother was a sister of the late Mrs. Leary, and local relatives also attended this funeral.
