Surnames: Levin Levine Levinson Kahn
I am looking for information on Eli (or Ely) Levin/Levine born 1837 in Russian Poland and his first wife Hannah (or Anna) Beatrice Levin (née Kahn) who may have lived in Sweden before emigrating to the USA, where they lived first in Michigan and then in Chicago. They had the following children, Harry, Julius, Rubie (short for Reuben, I think) Louis and Jenny. Family history says that they changed their name when they came to the USA, perhaps from Levinson, and the name is spelled Levine on some family death certificates.
