Mallette's from Canada to Wisconsin

I am searching for any ancestors, descendants and any other relatives of Edward Mallette and his wife Octavie Alympea Soubirous or Sibava. I am also looking for pictures or other family documents as well. Edward Mallette was born in Canada in March 1842. Both of his parents were born in Canada. Octavie Alympea Soubrious or Sibava was born in Canada in 1839. Her first husband was a Mr. Cousineau or Cusino. They had two daughters named Nettie and Ellen, and possibly a son named Adam. With her second husband she had four girls, Mary, Edwidge, Amelia, and Elizabeth. They had two sons named Paul and Herman Julian. Herman Julian Mallette was born in July 1868 in either Canada or Beaver, Wisconsin. He died August 10, 1947. He married Nettie Mae Billings, who was born in 1869 in either Michigan or Bangor, Maine. She died on July 18, 1945. Her parents were either Elijah or John Billings and Betsy. They were born in Maine. Herman and Nettie had four children named Paul, Irene, Sheldon and Percy Edward (later Edward Percy.) It was said that Kenny Trimble, who played Trombone on the Lawrence Welk Show is distantly related to Edward or Octavie Mallette. I would appreciate it if anyone could provide some information.

Hello,
I continue to search for information on my g grandfather. I have found out a little more on him since my last post a year ago so I willmake those correction here in hopes of connecting with someone.
It appears that his name was actually Paul John Mallette adn that he was most likely born 4 April 1892 in Saginaw Michigan. I found that information on my g grandmother's death certificate and on a WW1 draft registration. Any help is greatly apprciated as now my goal is to find out who his parents were and where he died. Thanks.

I am looking for information on several Mallette familes that settled in Texas and were in the Polk Co, Texas Census 10 1900,1910, 1920, 1930. Any family history would be helpful, I do not know where any are buried. Descend from Stephen R. Mallette, b. 1830 Mississippi, married Olive "Olly" Garner.

I am looking for the parents of George Mallette and the parents of his wife Victoria Deroche. I have quite a bit of Mallette information but havent been able to put it all together yet. From what I understand there were two Mallette families living in Ogdensburg, NY. Both families moved there from Gouverneur, NY. I believe them to be all related...just have to find that common ancestor. If anyone can help...two heads are better then one in figuring out this huge puzzle.

Lloyd G Mallette

I have a little more information on my grandfather. I now know he was born in Idaho, think his mother's maiden name was Blish. Could have possible lived with his grandparents in CA when he was 4. Could he have been called George vs Lloyd...possible. He was in the Army Air Corps during WWII, enlisted in CA but at one time was in Gulfport where he met and married my grandmother. Not sure but he could be the Lloyd that died in 1961 in CA. Anyone with information on the Mallettes of Cour D' Alane (Sp?), Idaho? Possibly Malettes originally of Canada?

Cheers from Spokane,
Terry

How a name is heard, help please

Hi Board

I have been trying to find links to an ancestor. Mary Ann Meletto, married Richard Henneford/Hennefer in Ainsworth, Bury, Lancs, in 1840. No address was listed for Mary, which the registrar said was unusual. Her father was John a shoe maker. On numerous cert's, the name is shown as Meletto, Maletto, Milito. I had no area to work from till I found them in the 1851 census living at 23 Velvet Walks, Bolton. It shows Mary as being born in Ireland, I thought I had cracked it, till I started looking for her family there.

I am now following other spellings, as I am quite sure this is where the problem lies. On the marriage cert neither of them could sign their names.

Does this look familiar to any one? Does any one have any ideas as to where to go from here? It is really bugging me!!

Thanks
Pam H.

Ozias and Cynthia lived in Ohio, New York, and Wisconsin. Also looking for information on Ozias' children - Henry C, Jerome, Charles. Jerome along with brothers Orrin and Sylvester were the original settlers of Red River, NM. Jerome seems to have disappeared after Red River. It is believed that Charles moved to Oregon from Wisconsin. Henry C was born in Ohio but I have no other information. My great-great grandfather was Ozias' youngest son, George Mallette.

Lloyd George Mallette, Sr

I am looking to find information on my Grandfather. My mother only knows his name as my Grandmother refuses to talk about him - she has been known to give unreliable information in regard to him to keep other family members from learning about him - she's a control freak and thrives on confusion. I know he married her, Viola Louise Mays, in 1942 in Gulfport, Mississippi. My mother, Barbara Jean was born the next year and they had a second child, Lloyd Jr, born in 44 who eventually changed his name to Angus Cosby when my Grandmother remarried and wanted nothing to do with his mother and step-father. I have not yet been able to determine when my Grandmother and Grandfather divorced. I belive he was a military man during the war. I hope to locate him and hope he is still alive as my mother would so love to me him - she's been fighting cancer for several years now. She's been trying to no avail to locate him. Any leads would be great. I don't know if he was of the MS Mallettes or if he was only stationed there. It is possible he was younger than my Grandmother.

Cheers ~ TJ

my g- grandfather was william mallette
b.12-12-1900, he was married to Rosina trombley b. 1-4-1906. they were both born and died in Malone, Franklin, NY. his father's name according to my grandfather was Filmore Mallette who was married to Mary Roberts. It is possible that Filmore was born in Trois Riverias, Quebec, Canada ( this is where my grandfather says the family came to america from. my mother had talked to Rosina one time and Rosina said that Filmore and Mary had at one time lived in Chataguay, Franklin, NY. Most of the family is buried at the Notre Dame cemetary in Malone , Franklin, NY. I took pictures of some of the grave stones while there Nov 2000. I plan on going back up there soon with a whole bunch of film and taking pictures of the grave stones in several cemetaries in Malone and Chataguay. If anyone has any info i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you,
Brandie Renee Mallette

Josephine, Etienne, and Georgian Mallette

I'm looking for information on 3 siblings, Josephine, Etienne, and Georgian Mallette. I think their parents were Etienne Mallette and Josette DeJonise. I'm interested in their ancestors and descendants. I believe Georgian married George Winter and had several children. I'd be interested in any info on that.

My great-grandmother was Alphonsine Josephine Sicotte (known as Ollie), her parents were Alphonse Sicotte and Josephine Mallette. Alphonsine had an Uncle George Winter and Aunt Georgie (they were married). I believe the Winter descendants moved to Montana.

I've found the following tree which must be the family. The only problem I see is that it says Josephine Mallette married "Victor". The rest of it seems to match with the information I have.

You can email me richard@rdsdesigns.com

http://awt.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=wjewel...

Seeking Information re: Maternal Grandfather

I am unable to find any information regarding my Grandfather, Gavin S. MALLETTE (Malette) I know he lived in Gallup and Albuquerque New Mexico. He was an Engineer for the Santa Fe RR. I am thinking circa early and mid 1900"s. My Grandmother Agnes BAILEY/MALLETTE was born in Gallup, Bernadillo, NM. My Mother was very closed about her family history. Her Father Gavin died when she was 18.was preceded in death by his wife who died from complications of polio. I just need some help with where I should look and actually I am not positive about the MALLETTE spelling as I am told it was modified. I also don't know where his parents were born ,many, many unanswered questions. Thanks Mary Alice

Hi all I have a very confusing record I found for baptismal records in Ogdensburg New York for 1873 and 1876.The children are Moses Leroux and Marie Leroux Rousson. While both children have the Leroux surname their parents are given as for Moses as John Rousson and Marcelline Beaulieu, and for Marie John Rousson and Marcelline Mallette. Is anyone researching these names from New York, if so, please e mail me at kmjmd@northnet.org if you think you can help with this mystery.
