      <title>Marcon in Fonzaso, Italy to MA</title>

      <description>As far as I can tell, there are no Marcon relatives left in Fonzaso. Marcon was changed to Marconi in my nonno's case when he came to USA in 1921. His brother, Bortolo Marcon, is eluding me. I don't think he went by Bortolo Marcon/Marconi when he immigrated to Great Barrington, MA. His descendents may of moved on to CONN. Can anyone point me to a haystack?</description>

Marcon died 19 December 1985 and his obituary was in the Rockford Register Star of Monday 23 Dec 1985:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Frank Marcon&lt;br&gt;Dies; Funeral&lt;br&gt;Here Saturday&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Services for Frank G. Marcon, 33, 205 S. 5th st., who died Thursday in Rockford Memorial hospital after a one-month illness, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Long-Klontz funeral home, 428 Park ave., and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James cathedral.&lt;br&gt;Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery at Birchwood, Wis.  Friends may call from 7 to 9 o’clock tonight in the funeral home where a rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.&lt;br&gt;He was born April 3, 1922, in Birchwood, Wis., son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Marcon.  He came to Rockford from Birchwood, and married the former Agnes Jones Sept. 15, 1951, in Rockford.  Mr. Marcon was a member of St. James Cathedral.&lt;br&gt;Mr. Marcon had lived 10 years in Rockford and, for the last four years, was employed as a truck driver by Blue Star Foods, Inc.&lt;br&gt;Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Elizabeth; two sons, Frank, Jr., and Steven Marcon, all at home; his twin sister, Mrs. Ann Thibedeun, Birchwood, Wis.; andther sister, Mrs. Mary Kruger, Eau Claire, Wis.; and five brothers, Matt Marcon, Eau Claire; John Marcon, Rice Lake, Wis., Albert Marcon, Birchwood, Wis.; Steve Marcon, Hayward, Wis.; and Joe Marcon, Des Moines, Ia.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <description>Albuquerque Journal - March 13, 2003&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt; Alvera Louise Douglas, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, March 11, 2003. Alvera was born in Sopris, CO on August 16, 1924. She graduated from Adams State College in Alamosa, CO and earned a Masters Degree from Rosary College in River Forest, IL. She spent most of her life working as a librarian for the Albuquerque Public Schools. She had a deep love for children and animals and was a devoted grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Nanci Lynn Cairns, son-in-law, Norman Cairns; grandson, Sean Robert Cairns; brother, John Marcon, Jr.; sister-in-law, Freda Marcon, all of Albuquerque; sister, Albina Huffman of Durango, CO. She is also survived by her lifelong friends, Marybeth and Raymond Miller as well as a numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise Marcon; brothers, Louis, Mario and Anthony Marcon and sisters, Angelina Maccagnan, Mary Steinhage, and Anne Hinton. Her family would like to thank Dr. Robert Weiler, Dr. Pamela Fick and the TCU nurses of Lovelace Medical Center. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, 6:00 p.m., followed by rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 14, 2003, 9:00 a.m., at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. Pallbearers will be John Marcon, Jr., John Marcon III, Anthony Marcon, Louis Marcon, Norm Cairns, and John Anthony Marcon. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Annunciation School, 2610 Utah NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87110</description>
