My dad is Robert. His mom is Clara. Clara's brother is George.George was married to Louisianna Markham. My Aunt Lou was the grandaughter of Sara and James Markham. Aunt Lou had this pile of Markham family stuff. Aunt Lou would go on about our great family history and how she had kept everything her grampa and grandma had kept. Records...titles...newspaper clipping from around the Louisianna area mid 1800's. Stuff about James building a wrought iron fence in Baton Rouge and involvement in the early years of the Coca Cola Cocaine Elixer!!!! Lou kept news clippings of the groundwork being laid by the Markhams in the Bowie Knife Co. Was I halucinating? My sister has all the "stuff" now. We have a ring that belonged to Laura Secord...why did Sarah have that?Louisianna settled with her family in southern Ontario Canada near Markham Ontario. I'm so sorry I was a spoiled brat and never sat to listen to Aunt Lou's "family history time". I remember every x-mass we'd all get cool Tonka toys from Aunt Lou. I'd love to chat....
