thanks you so much for getting back to me. I was very pleased to have the added information, and perhaps I can pass some on to you. In your last paragraph you mentioned the death of Susannah. I found her death certificate - she died Nov 6, 1896 registered in the sub district of West Wymer, city/county of Norwich. The Jackson family you mentioned is my surname. This was my great grandfather Frederick William Jackson who was married to Frederick Markham's second daughter Rose Hannah.

From your second message. I was aware Frederick Markham Junior had married Annie, and I was aware of the 2 older daughters but not the last 4 children; and according to the 1881 census, there was a son Albert C Markham born in 1878 or 1879.

A bit of personal information. I live in Campbellford, Ontario, Canada - about 150 kilometres east of Toronto. My father/grandparents came to Canada in 1923 from Birmingham. I have been researching my family for several years (my wife is researching her family as well) and we have been to Scotland - my wife's family and England 3 times in the past 3 years. Our daughter moved to London in March this year, so we hope to visit again in the fall

I would appreciate any additional information you might have on the Markham's before Frederick if you have it. ( I was able to read "A family history of the Markhams" on line earlier tonight, but was not sure whether this Frederick is connected ). Perhaps you can enlighten me.
