Alice CANN born in Ireland in 1888

Surnames: McCann , Fleming
I am desperately trying to trace my great grandmothers family. She was born in Ireland in 1888 as Alice McCann, her father was Patrick McCann she moved to Liverpool England and married John Thomas Fleming. I found one possible birth certificate but am completely unable to verify it. I cannot find where in ireland she was born on any census details. Her death certificate does not state a place of birth or date of birth. What other records could I use here in England to track her down in Ireland?
