HISTORY: Edward
Bridget McVeigh came from Ireland and settled in Ohio-Perry county,
Pike Township, near New Lexington. Edward died there in 1848. Don't know when they came from Ireland??? or where from in Ireland????, they were Farmers. The
Ohio, Perry Cty. 1840 census show 2 boys and 2 girls and the 1850 census show
Bridget, Patrick and James, the 1860 census show
Bridget, Patrick-23, Edward-21, James-19, Catherine-24. I'm missing a female from the 1840 census-James was not born yet.
Joseph Patrick joined the
Army 8-16-1862-Co.E 114 Reg't
Ohio Infantry, James joined
Army 8-15-1862-Co.K 126 Reg't
Ohio Infantry.
I don't know what happen to their brother Edward??? In 1870 census in
Kansas,
Doniphan County there is

After the Civil War Joseph Parick and James Homestead 160 acres each (next to each other) in
Kansas,
McPherson Cty. near Galva, Ks.
Bridget died 1878 near Galva,Ks.
Joseph Patrick born 7-12-1839 in
Ohio and died Galva, Ks 4-1-1877, Buried Empire Cemetery, Galva, Ks. To my Knowledge Patrick never married.
James born 1841 in
Ohio, died 2-26-1913, Buried National Military Home --
Ft. Leavenworth, Ks, James married Mary Socwell 10-19-1875
McPherson Cty. Ks. they had two son's Fred and Claire.
Catherine C. McVeigh married Samuel B.Turner
11-27-1873
McPherson Cty. Ks. they had a daughter, Mary Florence. Catherine died in KC, Ks-Wyandotte Cty. 4-15-1915. Her daughter, Mary Florence

My GreatGrandfather was James, his son Claire was my grandfather and his son, my Dad was Claire, Jr.
My question is -- Does my story fit into any of the other
McVeigh stories??? Hope to hear from someone.
