My ggGrandfather is Ed Moore (b 1866 Missouri, d 1944 Colorado). Buried in the another cemetery in the same county (near Dolores, Montezuma county, Colorado) is a James J. Moore (b 1856 d 1940 according to tombstone inscription).

Ed's wife's name was Della, married about 1890. Their kids were Earl James and Ada.

James J's wife's name is evidently Mary E. (b 1861 d 1911 according to tombstone inscription).

I am trying to determine who the parents of Ed Moore are, and how James J. Moore might be related (brother? uncle?). Would also like to know Della's maiden name and family.

My gg grandfather is Edward Moore: B-1824, D-Oct. 4, 1916. Spouse: Rachel Noland. Fathers name: Johnnie Moore, Mothers name: Rachel Bridgman. Is this the same as yours?

Looks like we're referring to different families.

I've found the answer; George Edward "Ed" Moore and James J Moore are both sons of Samuel S. Moore b 1 Apr 1821 KY, d 16 Aug 1884 Clay Co, MO.
Samuel married Ann Elizabeth T. Davis (b 7 Jun 1827 KY, d 4 May 1908 Clay Co, MO)...although I've not been able to determine who Ann's parents are. Anybody know that?
