Just started doing research on my last name. I am looking for relatives from my father's side of the family. He was born in Tepatitlan, Jalisco. His father's name is Francisco Navarro, his grandfather's name is Modesto Navarro who was married to Juana Plascencia (Placencia?). If any one has any info let me know, thanks.

I am looking for information on a line of the Navarro family the came from Mexico to Texas to California. The immediate family of Navarros that I am seeking out live in Tulare County, California.

The farthest name back that I have is a great grandfather by the name Narcisco Navarro (1893-1990). I believe he was born in Mexico, moved to Texas, and died in California. He married Rosa Vallejo Solis (1901-1985) She was born in Texas and died in California.

I believe Narcisco and Rosa had 8 children. One of those children was a son named Jose Vallejo Navarro. He was born in either 1927 or 1929 and died in 1983. Jose married Esperanza Saldana and they had 11 children.

Any information on this line of the Navarro family would be greatly appreciated.

Hi to all you Navarros out there. My Grandmother was a Navarro. Her father was Antonio(Tunin)Navarro-1876-1953.His father was Manuel Navarro. He was married to Carmen Nazario and later,Antonia Marrero. Manuel's father was Don Francisco Navarro and his mother was Dionicia Acosta. I was told and the records show them as being from San Juan. I was told he had 10 children from both wives. One of the wives died in an epidemicin the 1880's He may have died then as well. My great grandpa Antonio married into the Salas-Torres-Alvarado family of Aguas buenas. Anyone out there that thinks they may be related,please post. Joyce Santiago-Maloy

Julio Navarro was a magician and traveled all over South America. He may have had other children.

He died in Medellin Colombia circa 1958-1959.

We were blessed with a Precious Little Angel, Elizabeth Marie Navarro, on Feb. 16, 1995. She was united with our Lord on Jan. 20.

She has been with us for 10 wonderful years and we cherished every year. She brought laughter and smiles to people's faces who will truly miss her deeply. She will always be remembered by her long curly hair and beautiful long eyelashes. She was very special to everyone who knew her, especially her family, we will never forget "Our Special Angel."

She is survived by her parents Richard and Anita Cruz Navarro; grandparents Jose and Maria Navarro, David Cruz, April (Rick) Trenbeath; great-grandparents Pilar and Audelia Navarro, Arturo and Anita Cruz and Alicia Arousa; great-great-grandma Refugia Cruz; aunts Jessica (Randy) Garcia, Vanessa (Angel) Medina, Christina (Tim) Jay, Nicole Cruz (Julian), Geselle (Jose) Padron, Daisy Navarro; uncles Edward (Nancy) Navarro, Nekoda Cruz; godparents Arturo Cruz Jr., Edith Barraga; and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.

The viewing will be held between noon to 5:30 p.m. followed by the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. at the Catholic Church with Father Alejandro Trejo. Interment will follow in Pioneer Memorial Gardens, Moses Lake.

She is preceeded it death by her aunt Amy Cruz, cousin Isiah Medina and great-grandparents Abraham and Nicolaza Lopez.

I am looking for relatives of my wife's great-great-grandmother, Josefa (Chepa) Navarro, who was born around 1880 in Mexico. She married a man named Mendivil from Sinaloa, Mexico. He was a miner, and they lived in Cananea, Mexico where they had four children: Rosario (Challa) Mendivil (born about 1899), Concepcion (Concha) Mendivil (born about 1901), Ygnacio Mendivil (born 1903), and Lillia (Lilly) Mendivil (born about 1905). Challa married Jose Maria Villa Escusa and had three children: Josephine, Louis, and Vera. Ygnacio married Elsie Acosta (who died in Jan. 2005 at age 97) and they had 2 daughters, Mary Helen Mendivil (Spring) and Eleanor (Ellie) Mendivil (Stevens), and 1 son, Roger (Coty) Mendivil. Ygnacio Mendivil died at the young age of 31 in Cottonwood AZ. He was also miner and he worked at Jerome, AZ. Lilly Mendivil married Felipe Chavez and had 2 sons, Oscar Chavez and Roy Chavez. I beleive they all died in San Antonio and have the following birth and dead dates.

Jose Antonio George Navarro 1819-before 1880
Jose Angel Navarro 1828-August 29, 1910
Celso Cornelio Navarro September 02, 1830-March 04, 1903
Sixto Eusebio Navarro March 01, 1833-February 28, 1905

I'm wanting to include them in the second volume of _Texas Burial Sites of Civil War Notables_.

Margarita's parents were Luis Farias (his parents were Encarnacion Farias & Maria De Jesus Martinez) & Manuela Duenez (her parents were Felis Duenez & Vidala Carranza). Esteban's father's name was Juan Navarro and he died in 1961, I believe. Esteban was born in Texas...according to his death certificate. Margarita was the 20th child born.She was born in Mexico & died in Detroit, Michigan on Oct. 2, 1960. Esteban died in Aug 1979 at the age of 69 in Detroit,MI.They had 3 children together Reyes (living), Susie (died Aug. 1996) & Erasmo (died Dec. 2002). My gg grandmother was apparently Carmelita Francisca Navarro (not Maria Teresa)
Her father was Miguel Antonio Fernando Navarre born 26 Apr 1790 (married to Teresa Diez)

Miguel's father was Pablo Navarro (mother Marie de Acosta)
Pablo was born about 1747 in La Mancha, SP -- Maria was from Aguimes, Canary Islands.

Pablo died 21 Nov 1807 and is buried in Assumption Parish, Plattenville, Louisiana.

Any clues to "flesh this out" or expand it?

Am seeking info on Ruperto Navarro who came to Texas approx. 1915 with five children in tow. His wife apparently passed away at an early age. Ruperto was born MArch 25, 1882 and died November 2, 1968. Died in Ellis County, TX.
The five children were Margaret, Paula, Jose Febronio (my grandfather) Jessie Maria and Edward. He later married a lady named Reyes H. (?)
Story I got was that Ruperto was fleeing Pancho Villa's raids when he came to Texas.
Any info would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hi! Here I am again hoping someone can help me my family
comes from San Fransisco del Rincon Guanajuato. My Grandfathers
name was Jose (de la luz) Navarro Hernandez he was a teacher in
a little place called El Palenque which belonged to a little city
called Purisima. His fathers name was Victoriano Navarro from what
I gather he was born or was from a town called La Luz Guanajuato
his mothers name was Fransisca Hernandez Saldana and she was also
from La Luz Guanajuato. That is all I know but I would love to know
if anyone can help. My grandfather was born in 1908.His brothers and
sisters names were:
Dolores (he was a male), Jesus, Juana, Conception, Refugio.

1952-2003

Karen Louise Navarro, 51, of Cheyenne died June 27 in Cheyenne.

She was born Feb. 28, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa, and moved to Cheyenne in 1968.

She married Richard Navarro on July 1, 1972, at the Laramie County Courthouse in Cheyenne.

Mrs. Navarro was a production worker for Gater Industries prior to her medical disabilities.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy and always brought
a smile to her face.

She was a member and friend of Cheyenne Brethern Church.

Mrs. Vanarro is survived by her husband, Richard; two daughters, Tracy Navarro and Amy
Oros-Garfia; son-in-law, Antonio; three grandchildren, Joseph, Ashley, Isaiah and one on the way;
four sisters; four brothers; and many extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Iola Fern Underwood; and two brothers, George and Don
Hill.

Friends may contribute to the Cheyenne Brethern Church located at 2600 E. 12th. St. Cheyenne, WY
82001.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr.
G. Emery Hurd officiating.

This is a paid obituary.
