My Great-Grandmother is Catherine Nee, daughter of a Michael Nee, from County Galway. She had a brother Patrick and a sister Onnie (there may be more). Catherine immigrated to the US ca. 1890 and married Thomas Scarlet Beideman. Onnie married Thomas Vallely. Catherine and Onnie lived outside of Philadelphia, while Patrick may have lived near Pittsburgh. I do not have any more info, is there anybody who can help?

Looking for information on a Dudley Nee, who resided in Ireland--probably Co Galway--married to a Bridget Kane. They had at least one daughter, Bridget Nee, circa 1914. She married Patrick O'Brien (born c. 1912), and lived in Derrough, Maam Cross, Co Galway, Ireland. Bridget (Nee) O'Brien is my grandmother, and I have almost no information on her side of our family.

They had children:

Thomas Nee born about 1853 pos. Galway Ireland
Thomas married Mary Ridge dau. of James Ridge and Barbara Connley/Conley

Joh Nee born about 1848 in Ireland who married Margaret (maiden name unknown)

Martin Nee born about 1866 in Ireland.

They may have had other children I do not know about but these three came to Boston, Massachusetts USA about 1873.

Any further information would be greatly appreciated. I do not have excess to any family history instutuons in my area.

I'm looking to find out what happened to my Great Unlce Coleman after he came to this country from Rosmuc, Co. Galway. (I'm not sure when he arrived, but he would have been born around 1890 or so.) The last we knew he went out west possibly to the St. Paul, MN area. His Father was Thomas Nee who married Barbara Conroy. His siblings were Thomas (my grandfather), Stephen, Anna, Barbara, Anthony, Patrick, Mary, and Catherine (also known as Kate). Thomas, Stephen & Anna eventually settled in Pittsburgh.

I am searching for any one that has information on Thomas Nee who was born in Galway County Ireland about 1845. He married Mary Ridge in Ireland, the daughter of James Ridge and Barbara Conley

. They had a son named John Nee born 15 Oct 1872 in Galway County Ireland and then Imm. to America, prob. through Boston, Massachusetts, in 1873.

Thomas Nee and Mary (Ridge) Nee lived at 183 Dorchester Street in Boston, Mass about 1879. They lived there with John Nee (born about 1848......prob. a brother to Thomas Nee) and his wife, Margaret (maiden name unknown). In 1900 these two families were found living together at Bolton Street in Boston, Mass.

The children of Thomas and Mary (Ridge) Nee were:
John, James, Michael, Abbie, Patrick, Mary and Coleman. There were 10 children but, by 1900 only 8 were living.

The children of John and Margaret Nee were:
Michael, John, Mary, Patrick and Anna.

A sister also lived with this family named Martin Nee.

Does this sound familar to anyone? Would love to hear from any one that could shed a light on the genealogy of this family.

Mary Ridge was born in Galway County, Ireland about 1847 the daughter of James Ridge and Barbara Conley/Connley. She married in Ireland Thomas Nee (parents unknown) who was born in Galway County Ireland about 1845. They had one son in Galway County Ireland named John Nee....born 15 Oct. 1872.
In 1873 this family immagrated to Boston, Massachusetts USA
prob. through the port of Boston.

In 1879 found living at 183 Dorchester Street, Boston, MA with John Nee and his wife Margaret.

Richard Shockley is a decendant of mine. He was born in Kent, England in 1632. He married Elliner Nee. I am trying to find out any info on Elliner Nee. I know she was born in England but have no date or info on her parents. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Richard and Elliner had a son in 1650 also named Richard. Hi. Im new to genealogy. I've traced my ancestors back to a Ruth Nee married to Roderick Harris. Ruth was born in NY. The ancestors of one of them was from Galway, Ireland, and the ancestors of the other was from England. My guess is that Ruth Nee was the one whose parents came from Galway Ireland. Can anyone help? I have more information on my g-grandparents, John and Katherine Nee. John Nee born 1829, died in a mine explosion in Ritchie Mines, W.Va., 1873 and Katherine had a boarding houes after that and lived into the 1890s. They had 8 children, I think: 2 boys that remained in County Galway, not sure of their names (Robert?), Annie, Biddie, Katherine,Maggie, Winnifred Laura (my grandmother), and Fannie. Winnifred Laura Nee married Patrick John Coughlin who worked on the RR. Any connections in Ireland or America? Looking for connections to Galway...maybe near Tully - Rynville area.

I have found out that he was married to a Margaret Ann Fawcett. I believe they were married around Fernie BC. Sometime after they were married, they had it annulled. Michael Joseph Nee (10-15-1870 - 8-08-1954)married Barbara E. Ridge (11-10-1869 - 1-13-1948) in Portland, Maine (8-21-1900).
Michael's parents were Patrick Joseph Nee and Catherine Conroy of Galway. Barbara's parents were Martin Ridge and Nora Greeley I believe of Galway.
Michael had 6 siblings that I know of: Patrick, John ,Thomas,Bridget, margaret and Mary. there may be others.
I believe that Thomas was in the Alston , Mass. area. Had two daughters :Margaret(peggy) and Sally( who married a dentist) ,and one son Patrick (who was a policeman). My father, Thomas died on September 2, 1974. I believe he is survived by

youngest of three sisters, (one of whom may
have been Winifred), and an unknown number of
brothers. The sisters all emigrated to the US,
and the brothers remained in Ireland to "work
the farm." Bridget married John Gannon, also
from Connemara, in South Boston, MA ca1891.
According to a cousin, there are still Nees
living on the family land. I would love to

Anne Nee was a widow when she married Mr. Nee. She was married to a Morgan Curran who was killed in an accident in a railroad yard in Boston or Roxbury, MA. Looking for family info.George won MOH in Spanish-American War. Also member of Boston Police Dept. His parents were Festus b.1831, d. 1896 Boston, MA. and Barbara Manning b.1836, d.1889 Boston, MA. 1861 US Census he is listed as "Fisty" Nee. I know nothing of his parents. Barbara's were Peter and Catherine ?

I would like to contact anyone with information on Michael Alphonsus Nee. Michael Nee was married Catherine Rigg. They had around 10 children. Some names are Francis, William, Daniel, Michael, Josephine, Ellie, and Kathleen. The son Michael was born in Whitehaven Cumberland England on Dec. 28, 1900. Some where between 1901-1909 Michael Alphonsus Nee was killed in Africa. His wife Catherine moved the younger children to Canada, arriving in Fernie in 1909. daughter of Thomas Nee and Bridget Delia Nee (Conroy) of Ireland

Delia worked as a maid for the McBrien family at 291 Walnut St in
Boston.

She married Harry F. Schneider, and had one child, Henry Schneider,
my grandfather.
