I am reading a notarized, hand written, baptism record taken from an archived record book, recorded in Parroquia de Armadillo. In 1914, Oct 3, parents Alberto Nieto and Augustina Nieto de Nieto, presented a 10 day old infant for baptism. The Godparents were listed as Antonino Nieto and Fabiana Nieto.

Then I found his honorable discharge from the Army. At time of discharge, they gave him citizenship and a new name. He became Leo Albert Nieto on 7 December 1943. He had been inducted into the Army Feb 1943, Fresno CA. He contracted TB and was released from duty in Kearne Utah. He was paid in full $48.13 cash.
Although I cannot find his birth certificate, he always said his birthdate was 23 Sep 1914.

I am seeking any additional information about our Nieto family.

I am looking for any information on my great-grandfather Joaquin Nieto. I don't know anything else other than this:
He was a photographer at the Blackstone Hotel in Chicago in the 1920's and was born in Spain. He married Helen Clague and they had 1 daughter in 1922 (my grandmother) & another daughter, Irene, in 1924, in Chicago.
I don't know his birthdate or date of death but his daughter's were very young when he passed. I don't seem to be able to find any matches, but I'm new to this. Thanks for any help!

Thomas had a sister Agnes Crowe of Denver.
The children had the last name Wood (I don't know how or why).
At the time of his death Thomas was married to Malvina Wildt.

Hello. My paternal great-grandmother Maria (Nieto) Robledo immigrated from San Luis Potosi with her husband Joseph Robledo pre-1920. Their family settled by 1920 in Long Beach, California (I found them on the census).

Maria's parents were Rafael Nieto and Aurelia (Compean) Nieto. Maria and Joseph were accompanied to California by Aurelia and Maria's sisters' family.

Maria and her children settled in Norwalk by the 1940s.

Polinario has preceded him in death. Lorenzo married Anita Carrillo on September 16, 1972 in Abo. He has resided in Mountainair for 31 years moving from Albuquerque. A past employee of the railroad he most recently was employed with the city of Mountainair. Lorenzo was a member of Saint Alice Catholic Church in Mountainair. I found out my birth fathers name only this past November 2003 - I was adopted 1969/Delaware. My father's name was given to me as: Reuben Noe Cavazos, though I have reason to believe it is Ruben Noe Cavazos; I found a birth record from Willacy County.

Ruben' s mother's name is listed as Maria Candelaria Nieto and father's name is listed as Ruben Cavazos.

Hi.. just wondering if there is anyone out there that would recognize the names of Daniel Nieto and Julia Beltran Nieto, they were my grandparents. I'm also looking for any family members of theirs, I dont' know much about them since they died when i was younger...Daniel Nieto lived in Tiripetio, Michoacan, Mexico and then moved to the states in the late 40's, moved from state to state(Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, and finally to California). They lived in Alviso, CA up until 1987. Anyone with any type of information or inquiries regarding this, please post a message.. thx... Elvia

My grandmother was Carolyn Nieto. I am trying to find any info on her. All that I do know is that she was born around 1905. She married Ferris D. Toucey. They had only one child, my father, George J. Toucey. She died 2 years later in 1932 from influenza. I would like to know if she had any siblings. What her parents names were, etc... My father was 18 months old when she died and doesn't remember much about her. Any relatives out there?

the otherr day i posted a message for my grandfather's family. i mentioned that his sisters names were magge, jesusa,and ernestina. correction their names were.. alvina, francisca, and angelita and cruz. i am not aware if they ever got married. francisca died and only had one child a daughter. alvina never had children. the other 2 i have no idea. would like to know if they are still alive and have any children.any info would be greatly appriciated. thank you.....linda

Dear Yolanda, My name is Donna Candelaria and I am sending this message about my husband, Alex Candelaria. He was born in Golden in 1941. His parents are both buried in the San Pedro cemetery. His grandmother's(his Dad's mother) maiden name was Nieto. I just found some small pieces of paper where I had copied some info. down a long time ago. His grandmother was Flora Nieto and her parents were Severa? Gutierrez(I am not sure about spelling) and Ramaldo Nieto. Alex is in Santa Fe for the funeral of his Great Aunt Ofelia Nieto. She was sister of Ramaldo Nieto. This list also has Flora Nieto's brothers-Deciderio, Adolpho and Emilio and a sister-Perfilia. I really don't think some of these spellings are correct. I will check some more. I am just getting started on genealogy on the computer and am enjoying it a lot. My maiden name is Daniel and I was born in Arkansas. Send more info if you have it.
