Classification: Query
Surnames: SPRINGER, FRAZEE, OLIVER
New Jersey's Abstracts of Wills (1730-1750) aand earlier have several references of FRAZEE and OLIVER folk related. At least two of these references also include the name SPRINGER.
1749 May 20 - Frazee, Mercy, of Essex Co Orphan upwards of 14 years. Samuel Oliver, guardian. William Springer, fellow bondsman.
Possibly the same Samuel Oliver and William Springer are mentioned as receiving payments after the death of Elizabeth Frazee c1748/49.
In 1712 a Denis SPRINGER is a witness to the will of Eliphalett FRAIZY (Frazee??).
It is assumed the FRAZEEs and OLIVERs intermarried after going through some of the will abstracts for NJ. I'm trying to see if the SPRINGERs also married in to this group from northern NJ.
A SPRINGER line in and around Albany, NY may possibly be related to the SPRINGER line that was in Essex and Middlesex Counties, NJ. David and Benjamin SPRINGER are supposedly the sons of a Dennis SPRINGER and wife Mary. David and Benjamin married two sisters, Margaret and Henrietta OLIVER. They lived in the Albany NY area.
Since the above David SPRINGER (d.1777) has been genetically linked to several other SPRINGER families in southern NJ and one in Sussex Co. in northern NJ, and several that used the given name 'Dennis', I am trying to find out if anyone has any info on the Essex and Middlesex NJ OLIVERs going to the Albany NY area.
thnx,
melissa
