I have information in my file that is not complete and perhaps you can help. My great grandmother, Maria Berardicurti, born in Celano, is reported to have a sister, Nunziatina, who had a daughter known as Finetta Stornelli (I do not know if this is a maiden or a married surname) who lived on Via Sardellino in Celano. I continue to seek any ainformaton on the surnames, Paris, Berardicurti and Subrani from Celano. Thank you for anything you can share. Patrick

Indiana but the Moore family was from St. Louis and other parts of Missouri. Mina's mother was Minnie Belle Hobbs who lived in Missouri as well. The next level up may have been Hopewell. If any of this rings a bell let me know. Dennis.

Berthold (B.S.) Paris, Death in Georgia?

I am looking for the grave of my great great grandfather, Berthold Paris, also known as B.S. Paris or Pariser. He was a cigar maker in New York City but frequently went on trips to Georgia- I assume to buy tobacco. He is in 1900 census in Atlanta as a boarder, and previously is listed as working in Eastman, Georgia. He was born in Germany in 1839, and came to the United States in 1857. He married Henrietta Goslinsky. Henrietta is listed as a widow in 1910, so I assume he died between 1900 and 1910. If anyone has any information, especially in Georgia, I would be thrilled to hear about this. Thank you. Jill

Moses Paris b 06 Mar 1788 in the Carolinas and d. 15 Nov 1865 in Benton, Polk, TN is my g-g-g-g-grandfather. I can trace him very well; will, land, court records, census, cemetery burial, his brothers, sisters, parents, etc...

but what I can not find is more than one child for him.
I have John Marion Paris, his son (my 3rd g-grandfather)and I think he also had a son Robert J Paris (Different than Moses' nephew Robert H). I can't find anything to piece them together though. I found the two orphaned Owens girls he (Moses) adopted...

I found a book where Robert J Paris wanted to open a Tavern in Polk county but no mention of family in it.

Any help on locating the children of Moses Paris would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone have any information on a William paris b. 1758 married to Elizabeth Joyce/Joice b. 1762 I believe he was born in Aldermaston Berkshire/Hampshire England. Also according to family legend there is a french connection which I would dearly love to find. My grandfather George Paris b. 1877 had a seal on a chain that he inherited had a 'L' on it, and legend goes that our ancestors left Paris France and had to change their name to Paris.
Would appreciat any information anyone had that would lead to more.
Ann

Oscar and Henry are brothers. Oscar, went by, Samuel Oscar Paris, Parish, and Parrish(b. 07-04-1870). Depended on the day. He had a problem with what name he gave out at the time. I know this is him because of the murder he committed. Married Maggie Mae Herndon, 1907 Oklahoma. He died 10-23-1926 in Burkburnett, Texas by gunshots wounds on the bank steps. He was my grandfather. Uncle Henry was his brother, John Henry Paris, was 5 years older, never married or never told of a spouse. When grandpa died he was also known as Dr. O. V. Parrish,he was a Veternarian Surgeon for the oil companies in Burkburnett. I have never found any other members, but I know they are out there. The death certificate on grandpa list John M Parrish and Martha Underwood as his parents all born in Louisville Ky.

The timelines are very close for this Oscar and Henry to in the Hezekiah Moten Paris line. For one thing there are not 2 brothers, there is an Uncle and Nephew. It is possible that it was easier to represent themselves as brothers. It is interesting that from the census records, neither of them seemed to have living children from 1904-1911 in Georgia.

Lyndie

I appreciated this information as well. Samuel M Paris was my great grandfather. My Grandfather C. H. Paris struck out on his own at a very early age and moved to Texas. We were told that 'our' folks had kept the trail 'hot' between Texas and Georgia (indicating they were running from something.) I always thought that meant the trouble was in Georgia!
Lyndie
