My husband's mother was a Carlstrom. Her father was Agner Carlstrom. We believe his father was August Carlstrom who was married to a woman by the name of Anna. August came from Sweden. Agner was born Jan 1, 1901 in the state of Kansas, USA. We believe August was born in Oct. 1865 in Sweden and died Jan. 1958 in Missouri, USA. My mother-in-law never knew any information about her father's family. Agner did have brothers and sisters: Walter, Alice, Alda/Alma/Adinah/Alta, Elmer August or August E, Ellen I, Olive, Vernon, and 3 1/2 siblings: Edwin, Francis, and Rual.

I have an Erik Persson born 28 Mar 1828 in Varmland, maybe Dalby or Deje, who married a woman named Wihelmina who was born 15 Jan 1833, I assume also in Varmland. They both died in North Dakota and I took the birth dates off the tombstone. I can't find them anywhere. They had two sons, both born in Sweden, John and Julius Emmett and maybe more. I was visiting Westport Maritime Museum on the Washington state coast April 2006. There was a display about a Hillman Persson who was awarded the Medal of Valor for a rescue in 1937. If you do a google search on Hillman Persson you'll find more info Maybe this is your guy. (My Persson ancestors came to Stockholm, Saskatchewan in 1892. I haven't been able to figure out if I'm connected to Hillman)

Dorothea Sophia married Lars Johan Svarén and lived in Hagelberg, Skaraborg county according to 1900 census. They had then seven children.

Maria Christina lived in Fullosa and was married to Anders Gustaf Eriksson and they had 1900 two daughters.

I am trying to find family/Paternal &Maternal names for Nels, born 7-4-1850 in Helsingberg, Sweden. His parents were sharecroppers on land owned by Baron Ullinquana. He went to sea as cabin boy at young age, returned home married Anna Anderson from Helsingberg whose parents owned a farm there.Eventually Anna migrated to New York, USA in 1883 with young son Edward where name was mistakenly changed to Pearson by immigration authorities. She moved to Luldlow, Pennsylvania where she joined her sister on a farm. Nels remained intermitently at sea. They had 4 more childrem by 1888. Anna died in 1890. The children ages 2 to 10 made the train trip to San Francisco where Nels ship's home base was. Nels remarried a Miss Florin from Helsingberg in 1896. She had a brother O.J. Florin born 1868 in Helsingberg who later lived in Humboldt county, California, USA. Two children were born of this union. I would like to find further family ties still in Sweden. Thank you.

Parish; Vaxtorp
county; Halland
confirmed in the Swedish Church
arrived in USA around 1869-1870
village he came from Bastena
I do know he had brothers Ben & August in USA with him and left other siblings in Sweden. One sister left in Sweden was crippled.

I have a old Peterson family bible. I have been told that Peterson was Persson in Sweden. there is also a paper in there with the name of Bergt Peter Persson with the dates of 7-7-1816 8-12-1870. Does this sound familiar to anyone?? I am looking for info on John Peterson who was born 7-22-1850 in Halle Sweden. I am wondering if this could be a relative of Bergt. I need help. We're hit a brick wall with my father's family. My Grandmother Edith Eleanore Persson (1/20/1913-7/17/1979) married William Henry Hau (12/14/1904-7/1974) ... My father says Edith parents were John A Persson Alfrida E unknown one was a Swed, other Norwiegen. Even the census has them listed as both Swedish. My dad said that it was tabbo for a Swed to marry a Norwiegen so the probably lied on the census. Joh and Alfrida lived in New Jersey. Any help in linking them to their families would be great!!!

Looking for info on my great-grandmother listed above, her death certificate listed her parents as Elna Peterson and Pete Hanson. I believe that her fathers name of Hanson was a typo and that it should be Persson.

She married my great-grandfather Franz (Frank) Hallbeck before 1898.

My great great grandfather was Johan Persson b. June 24, 1850 in Norrbarke parish in Sweden. He married Anna Danielsdotter and they had 3 children. My great grandmother Anna Matilda Johanson b. March 2, 1873 in Brafall, Silvberg was their oldest child. The only other information I know about Johan was that when my g grandmother was 6 years old he left the family and came to the U.S. He changed his name to John Peterson and was living in the Forbes area of Minnesota. I am looking for information on my gggrandparents, Karl Elof Persson (1863-1908) and his wife Sophia (1867-1957). They had several children, Bror Herbert (later Bert Pearson 1894-1939 married to Ella Rose Luchsinger), Charles (Pearson), and Sture (Stuart). They lived in the area of Remeslon, Sweden (I have a list of other places as well). Bert immigrated to America in 1913 and moved to Forestburg, South Dakota. I have a small list of decendants of these siblings, but would like to go backward as well. If anyone can help to fill in the gaps it would be much appreciated.

Spouse: Britta Lindel.

Emmigration: First came to US in 1921 when he was 28 years old.

Residence: He lived on Island of Oland. Gardslosa, Sweden.

After 1921 Occupation: Worked in Minnesota to save money for rest of family to emmigrate. John B. Olson, his brother in law, worked with him.

1926 Emmigration: He sailed on the Gripsholm into Ellis Island Harbor when he brought family. Ellis Island, New York Harbor, New York, NY. They sailed from the port at Kalmar, Sweden.

After 1926 Relatives: Carl's sister, Rosmond Olson (John's wife) lived in Chicago. Chicago, Cook Co, IL.

I am hoping someone related to Rosmond and John, or his wife, or his parents for that matter, can tell me something about this part of my family.

my ggrandparents were born in sweden and married in 1883 in kristianstad sweden. thier names were sven persson and anna svendsdr. they moved to denmark before 1889 sometime and took the nordahl family name. i have 3 sons of thiers found. lars peder nordahl. frantz oskar nordahl and anthon vilhelm nordahl. all born from 1889 to 1900 area. father (anthon) told me he had more brothers and sisters. any links to anyone in this family is greatly apreaceated
