In doing research on my Arpin ancestors i came upon one generation with only one child for the couple. I find this quite unusual for a French-Canadian catholic family. I was wondering if youmight have any info onthe children of the following couple.

Joseph Arpin (Herpin) dit Poitevin (son of Jean-Pierre Arpin & his second wife Suzanne Roy/Roi/Rois), b. April 7, 1775 St-Ours, QC; d. ?; m. Nov 8, 11802 St-Ours, QC to Marie-Marguerite Piche (Pichet, Pichay) dit Dupre (daughter of Joseph Piche & Marie-Josephe Bouvier /Bopuvie); b. June 11, 11782 in St-Ours, Qc; d. ?. Marie-Marguerite's baptism certificat notes that she is the twin of Louis Pichet.

The only child I have so far for this couple. is:

Pierre Arpin who was married twice.
#1. Feb 2 1832 St-Ours, QC to Marie-Anne LeMagnan (widow of Michel Arpin, daughter of Chalres LeMagnan & Marie-Anne Leclerc)
#2. Feb 14, 1840 Sorel, QC to Marie Poirier (daughter of Joseph Poirier & Marie Madeleine Millet)

With regards to this second couple, I have no children listed for Pierre's first marriage and 10 for his second marriage.

Any help would be appreciated..
