Piche. Joseph died on July 17, 1944, at Normandy, France, during World War II. Joseph received a Purple Heart.

If you have any information about this branch of the Piche family, please contact me.

My grandfather is Maurice LaPointe and is 85 yrs old. He isnt well and doesnt remember alot about his family. I do know that he left home at 13 or 14 yrs old from Quebec. He hasnt had contact from his family since. My grandmother Kattharina told me that she wrote a letter to his parents after they married with no response. She did tell me that his parents were Frederick LaPointe and Maria Piche and that my grandfather was baptised in Sherbrook, Quebec. I know that he had several siblings that are unknown and I would like to find them.

I am looking for info on my family. So far all I can trace back to is my gggrandfather's name. His name is Louis Piche. I know he came to NY from Canada. He was a lumberjack. He married a Sarah and had a brother named Eugene. I think he was born around 1890. Any info would be appreciated! :-)

School Project: Finding my Native American Ancestry

I am looking for any information regarding my great great grandmother, Irene Piche Lavoie. She married my great great grandfather, Evangeliste Lavoie, between 1877 and 1883. I do know that she was possibly born in Quebec. She possibly met and married my great great grandfather in Lewiston, Maine, where my great grandfather, Pierre Elzeard Lavoie, was born on June 30,1883. He was the first-born child. Their second-born child, Oliver J. Lavoie, was born in Norton/Norton Falls, Vermont, on February 18, 1888. There were two other siblings: a boy, Edward Lavoie, born August 6, 1890, and a girl, Rose Lavoie. Additional information: Evangeliste Lavoie was born in Canada, possibly near Trois River and Quebec City, between 1859 and 1863. He was a mill worker.
