Debbie, I think this is such a coincidence -- I was just corresponding with you about the
Copeland lines. Now I just came across this old
Polly posting of yours and feel there must be some connections in our research.
My ggggrandparents were Charles
Mullins, son of
Elijah Mullins, and Catherine
Copeland, daughter of John
Copeland and Mary Ann
Gwinn. I have been looking for a long time for documentation that
Elijah Mullin's wife was indeed Mary
Polly (and not Mary with the usual nickname,
Polly.) Do you have evidence of it that you could share with me? Have you had any luck in finding her parents? I have seen other researchers' belief that Mary was the daughter of Henry
Polly and Athaliah Mary
Mullins. According to Cainsville and Community History, Cainsville,
Missouri, 1854-1990, Elijah's daughter, Mary Ann, married James
Cain. I have more information about them if you would find it useful.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sharon
