Lana,
I was intrested in your talks with Mr. Bottri. He is a relative that I have yet to meet.I am also a related to
Finley R. Babcock. I have been trying to find details about him as he was a known in my tree but no one had alot of information.
FRB is my 3g gf on my dads moms side.Finley went into the
Navy and served for six yrs& 4 mons. mustering out as a Master at Arms.He married twice 1)
Agnus Elisbeth
Sullivan dau of John & Johanna
Sullivan 1 Sept 1864 in
Cambridge Ma. She died in childbirth on 26 Jan 1871.2) His second marriage was to Margaret Ann Kelly the daug of
Miles & Mary Kelly. I have yet to find their information on marriage.Nor have I found the information on my 2ggmother Josephine F. Babocock(
Breen). I do know that she had one sister Etta Maria.I have been told that Margaret is their mother ,and that Josephine was born in
Cambridge Ma. Having said that I have been to the clerks office and have found know records of birth for either Etta or Josephine. The last bit I do know is that
Finley lost Margaret around1889/1890.the death cert has her parents name on it as well as
Finley . Records are from Foxbourough Mass. There were not records there for births of the 2 girls.
Etta was married and had one child named John E. (McNamaraha). Finley is listed as living with her and the grandson in
Cambridge Census of 1890.
Josephine married Joseph C
Breen (aka:John J
Breen) there are 12 children from that marriage of which I believe that Mr. Bottari's is married to or is the son of one of the "girls".My grand mother is also a daughter of Joseph& Josephine
Breen.
Hope that helps,if you have any more info,I'd love to fill in my blanks. Thanks cousin, happy hunting. Marlene DeChane
PS do you know of or how to get in touch with Tanya
Babcock?? She seems to have fallen off the earth. MMD
