The Washtenaw Purtells were from "Whiteforge, Co Limerick". I have not been able to find Whiteforge yet, but I have not given up yet either!
You have probably looked at the same obit that I have, and know also that Michael's parents lived in PA prior to their move to MI. There were a bunch of Purtells that moved between Friendsville, PA and Binghamton, NY. (And apparently, MI.)
