I forgot to add that my grandmother had talked about Ettie's family originally being Osbornes, that just about everyone had carried this name through their middle name but when Ettie was born, her father wanted something different, so she was given a different middle name. She also remembers that she had alienated her family at an early age because they didn't get to pick her husband yet she carried on her family tradition by trying to constantly run Charles's life, when he married the daughter of a Congressman, she nagged for a grandchild, when my grandmother was born, she became a complete monster, trying to control how Beatrice was raised and my grandmother remembers fearing her visits for the ridicule and judgments would make her cry all the time. My grandmother never knew Isaac, he had passed before she was born, but had always been told she was a completely different person before his death.

I know so much about this family, that the few things I don't know just make me anxious to know. I hope the Osborn thing can help. I had found a Hannah Osborne Eyles, which mother's maiden name may be Osborne, but can't tie them into this family....
