BROCKTON Helen R. (Ahern) Quinn, 89, of Brockton, formerly of Braintree, died November 14, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. Wife of the late James Quinn. Loving mother of John Quinn of Rockland and Mary Ellen Quinn of Brockton. Dear grandmother of Justin, James and Amanda Quinn. Sister of the late Jack Ahern, Margaret Miller, Lucille Cobb, Anne Schofield and Catherine Lang. Born and raised in Keene, NH, she had lived in Braintree for 55 years before moving to Brockton 6 years ago. Helen had worked for the town of Braintree as a crossing guard for 15 years retiring in 1974. She had been a member of the Braintree Grange also serving as their Treasurer. Funeral from the McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Braintree, Tuesday, November 18 at 8:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, S. Braintree Square at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the funeral home Monday, 5-8 p.m. Interment Newton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Old Colony Elder Services, 144 Main St., Brockton, MA 02301.
