I've been away from my genie research for a while, but am aching to get back to it. Set alerts for some of the Boards and saw this one pop up. Sigh ... a wonderful list (thank you) but unfortunately, nome of the first names or locations are ringing any bells. Our Reidys are the sons and daughters of Patt Reidy and Bridget McTighe. They had property in Doonbeg, West Clare, and this Reidy family also farmed near Furoor in Clare. They intermarried with Quinlivans and remain in that area of Ireland. Members of the two families also emigrated to the US (PA/NJ) together (~1880), along with King and Doohan cousins.
We seem to have an isolated group of Reidys and haven't been able to link them to other Reidys in Ireland. My working theory is that they go back to Reidys in Castleisland, but we have no proof at all of that.
