My grandfather, Edward Michael Reidy, was born in 1897 in Cambridge Mass. His father David Joseph Reidy came over from Ireland and was married to Margaret Geary, also from Ireland. I am looking for information that might help me find out where they came from in Ireland. .

My grandfathers,father Edmund,born in 1873,had two brothers.One was Michael born in 1870 and the other was David,born on 19th December 1871.
Could they possibly be the same.

Do you know what County in Ireland your Reidy's came from? I am also researching my Reidy family who came from Castleisland, Co Kerry. My grandfather was MICHAEL, My great-grandfather was Thomas i know that some of my Dads Aunts and Uncles went to the USA some of them lived in Mass. The names were. Edward, Martin, Thomas. Ellen, Nora and maybe more but these were only the ones we know about. Edward would have been born about 1862.I dont have much information on them, but I do know they were all born in Castleisland, Co Kerry Ireland. Wondering if there might be any connection.
