circa 1734,the family later moved to Preston Lancashire.I believe I am a direct descendant of Richard Richmond born 1734 married Elizabeth Harrison 1760 later married Mary Ball 1798.

Iva is the daughter of Wriston Richmond and wife Callie Vest Richmond of White Oak Mountain, W.Va. Callie, daughter of Columbus and Malinda Vest, died 08 Dec 1935. The photo was taken in 1936.

Iva doesn’t have any pictures of herself as a child. She would like to know if she is the little girl in the photo.

I should have put Virginia and West Virginia in the heading. In the 1775 to 1800 this whole area was changing and was all in Virginia.

I'm looking for any info on James parents or Sarah parents where he lived before Kentucky. This is what I know.
James Richmond was born c. 1775 in VA. His wife Sarah was b. abt.

1766 in VA. They moved to Henry County, KY The part they

lived became Oldham Co, KY in 1824, and finally Trimble Co, KY in

1836. Sarah died in 1855 and James died in 1871 both in Trimble

County, KY.

They had at least 6 children (first three born in VA, last

three in Henry County, KY): John (md Alla Robins), Valentine (md. Rachel Ferguson), Henry,

James Jr., William (md. Margaret) and Rebecca (married Frederick Crafton)

A few things not proving is James may have went by or might have been his middle name was Henry and or Clete

Sarah might have a middle name,last name, nickname Sally and her last name might be Rowlett.

There might have been two more childen which I have not proving yet. They are Elijah and Jesse.

Any info would be greatly appericated.

Looking for a picture of Maggie B. Richmond (West Virginia) to include in a study of the children of Wellington Wesley Richmond and his three wives. Maggie was a daughter of second wife Laurie Annie Bragg. She was born in 1892, probably in Summers County, WV; married William Auvel Cyrus in Kanawha County, WV in 1911; and died in Fayette County, WV in 1929.

Would like to correspond with her descendants as well.

I to think we are related. We aren't 100% sure but everything fits we have nothing to document it.
Our Rhoda Richmond born 1788 in Fairfield NY married George Williams.Their son Richard Williams married Abagail Butterfield.I do have the marriage cert for Richard and Abigail.

William STOREY RICHMOND born Darlington, England 1846

My Great Great Grandfather was called William STOREY RICHMOND and census info shows him as being born in Darlington in 1846 , his wedding cert (to Christina Kilpatrick in 1874) shows his father as Frederick Richmond, farmer, deceased. He lived in York from this time and is on the 1881, 1891 censuses and died in York in 1899 but I cannot find any trace of him prior to 1874 or find his parents. I do know he had some connection to William HESLOP STOREY who went to Canada and owned a glove factory in Acton, Ontario.
Does anybody out there know any mine or any other STOREY RICHMONDS - or know any STOREY's that married RICHMONDS?

Amelia and Peter married in 1875. They had 8 children. Samuel, Helen, Amelia, Mary ann, Christina, Arthur, Peter & Florence.
They lived around the Bombala / Delegate NSW area.

Thank you for that information. It is very useful as I have been trying to find a Jewish link in the family and the name Abraham may be a clue!

All I know about Maria Richmond is that her father was called James and her mother Elizabeth (I think).

Her daughter, Caroline Pottinger, married William James Richmond Cotton, who was the son of William Cotton and Caroline Richmond (Maria's sister). So they were first cousins.

With a double Richmond line, I am very keen to know more about them.

Maria Richmond also had a brother called James Abraham Richmond, born in 1797. He was a brewer at the "Green Dragon" in Stepney, London. It appears two of his children were staying with Maria on the 1851 census night.
Do you have any info on Maria & James parents?

I am hoping to connect with the Richmond family whose parents were Bennett Stanton Richmond, and Beulah F. Howard from Head Of Grassy, Kentucky. I have alot of questions that I can't seem to get answered about my family tree. My Great Grandmother was Anna Tennesee Stephens, she had two children with Charles C. Stemmer, I just recently found out that she had a child with a Willie Howard before she married Alonzo Renfroe, and then my GGrandfather Charles. This child was Beulah. My mother (who passed 2 years ago) and her sister (who is 79 and in ill health) never knew anything about an aunt they had named Beulah. this just came to me. Lula Mae Richmond age 80, died Dec 6, 1988 wife of Noah Richmond,

she was the Aaron Smith Funeral Home in Fayette co. Ky.

you can contact with funeral home and they might have some more info on her.

According to the death cert of Charles H. (Herbert) King Richmond's middle name was Herriet. Charles died 22 November 1941 in Griffithsville, Lincoln Co., WV. Fluta was still alive at that time. Charles was born in Raleigh Co., WV so you might look for King there

Good morning. I would like to contact Grace (the granddaughter of William) or her daughter Nancy to talk with them, I am scared to call again because at the time I did call her I didnt have the right info on her and maybe that is why she was not so friendly? I thought about writing instead. I would love to know about Sarah and her mother Rosannah. I cant find Rosannah anywhere, I dont know when or where she died or where she is buried. She would be a Great Great Aunt to me, she is my Great Grandfather's sister. I also have a copy of a tin picture of a Pritchett woman that none of us living knows who it is, it is possible it could be Rosannah when she was younger.

That would be wonderful if you could ask your Uncle's daughter to ask your uncle if they knew about Rose Ann and Grace or ever had contact with them. :) If I get brave enough to call again I am going to ask also.

I think it's because it's a private tree. I triedsome other trees and same results. I can rigth click and save pictures so that's fine.
There were rumors about William's other wife and Daughters but I was to young to pick up on them at the time and nobody talked about them. All of my dads brothers and sisters are deceased except James and he lives in California and I haven't seen him since1979. He was born in 1919 and is in an assisted living home but I do have contact through his daughter so I will ask if he knows any thing and will let you know. No one ever talked about having contact with Rose or Grace. Stewart

Good morning, I have no clue of why you can't copy to your tree? Were you able to right click on any of the JPG files that I have and right click save to save them? Do you think there is something in my settings that is causing this?

Did anyone in the Richmond family know about Sarah and her two daughters? Do you know if any of williams other children had any contact with William and Sarah's 2 daughters? Does anyone in the richmond family have photo's of Sarah, Grace or Rose Ann?

If there's anyone out there who has info on this chap who married Agnes McFadden (Oban, Scotland) and his offspring John, William, Mary and Elizabeth, please let me know. The latter apart from Elizabeth were born in India, as William was a career soldier. I'm particularly after William's birth record and also Agnes's, and also their marriage cert or at least whereabouts they got married.

Yes thank you. Have have used some of the information on my tree. For some reason it will not let me copy anything directly to my tree so I have to write it down and type it in on mine. None of the pictures will let me copy them. My niece Bonnie has a private tree named Durkee/Richmond and we exchange pictures all of the time. Also Coleen Sellon is a cousin and she has thousands of pictures on her site and a lot of them are from the Richmond family. Hers is public.
