Hi all you fellow Roches.
My 4x great grandfather was JOHN
ROCHE, a 'Tailor' b.c.1806 in
Cork, Ireland. He married ANN
THEOBALD(1809) in 1823 at Westminster,
London. They lived in Tonbridge, Kent and had five children.
WILLIAM(1832), MARY ANN(1835), ALBERT(1837), JAMES THEODORE(1840) &
ADOLPHUS(1843).
I have also found JOSEPH
ROCHE, b.c.1812 in
Cork, Ireland. Also a 'Tailor', he lived in Tonbridge around the same time and his wife and daughter were in the same trade. Carrying on family tradition. I suspect he was possibly John's brother. Emigrating to a new land, they would have liked to be nearby to family. Also, there weren't many ROCHES in Tonbridge at that time, so I suspect they were all related closely.
I am trying to find names for their parents and some history of their lives in Ireland.
If anyone has anything on these people, I would love to hear from you.
Anthony
