I'm a descendent of John Curtis Russ(1840-1905)
thur his son William L. Russ who was my great
grandfather. John's parents were Samuel Russ
and Martha E. Rivers Russ. Thanks to a cousin
and his family bible we have this much. It is
believed that Samuel was a son of James and
grandson of Thomas Russ (c.1730-1795) and Anna
Singletary Russ. Need positive connection.
Also I'm looking for a half-sister named Laura
who was born in the 50's in Jax Florida, her
mother's name was Lorraine. She met my brother
Wesley when they were little and knew they
were siblings...our father was Alton Earl Russ
born 1918, died 1975.

look at familysearch.org ......type in samuel russ and scroll down to ancestral samuel....one was born in your area, but i do not think he had a james as a son....
