Surnames: Schaeffer, Schafer, Shaeffer, Shaffer, Schaffer, Schaefer, Shaefer, Shafer, Phelan, Phalen, Whelan, Faoláin, Felan
I attempting to find some answers to one of two dead-ends in my family tree and would appreciate it if anyone might have any information. The only information I have is that a Mr. Schaeffer married a Ms. Phelan, having at least one child whom was named Edward Schaeffer in 1889.
I believe the family was primarily located in Berlin, Prussia/Germany; but I am not sure where the husband and wife were individually born and raised. Their son Edward emigrated to the USA around the time of the first World War. I am descended through him, so I could provide more information relating to descendents should anyone recognise the above.
