Tipton, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, St. Luke's Hospital,
Cedar Rapids, after an extended illness.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 24, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Eugene Benda will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery,
Tipton, with military rites conducted by
Tipton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2537 and
Tipton American Legion Post 123.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 23, with a 7 p.m. vigil service at the Fry Funeral Home,
Tipton.
Mr. Schneider was born March 19, 1919, in Whitebreast, the son of Sylvester J. and Mary A. Brown
Schneider. He married Louise Maxine Gilmore May 1, 1948, at St. Ambrose Cathedral, Des Moines.
He attended Catholic School in Baurer.
He owned and operated Schneider's Inn in
Tipton for 37 years, 1948-1985.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Knights of
Columbus, VFW Post 2537, life member of
Tipton Moose Lodge.
He was a pharmacist's mate in the U.S. Navy during World War II from Jan. 26, 1942, to Nov. 25, 1945.
Survivors include his wife, Louise M. Schneider of Hallmark Care Center, Mount Vernon; daughters, Linda
Schneider and Diane Catron, both of
Cedar Rapids, Kathleen
Schneider of Oshawa, Canada, Mary Rees and husband, Jim, of Travelers Rest, S.C., and Patricia

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John Joseph

Schneider, 97, of Clinton,
Iowa died on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton,
Iowa.
Services for will be held at 3 p.m.Sunday, June 6th, 2004 at Lewke Funeral Home South, 2600 Lincolnway, Clinton. Reverend Jeff Belger will officiate the service.
The visitation will be from 2 p.m. on Sunday until the time of the service at funeral home. The rosary will be recited prior to the service. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2004 at in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials go to Sarah Harding or Mercy Hospice Care.
Jacob Francis
Schneider was born on March 1, 1907 in Salem, South Dakota, the son of Michael and Katheryn (Henle)
Schneider. He married Agnes Ferguson. He later married Imogene (Fuller) Meder in
Davenport,
Iowa on September 11, 1947.
He wag employed at Climax as an Engineer for 29 years, retiring in 1972.
He served In the
Army daring World War II.
Survivors include: two daughters; Mrs. Katheryn (Dick) Hess of Clinton and Mrs. Patricia (Don) Whitmore of Muscatine; two sisters, Mrs. Matilda
Miller of Sioux
Falls, South Dakota and Mrs. Novent Doyle of Seattle, Washington; many grandchildren, step grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one step-daughter, one sister, three brothers and two grandchildren.

Iowa -- Kerwin Charles 'Pete'
Schneider, 81, formerly of Stanwood, died Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Ennoble Manor Care Center, Dubuque.
Mr. Schneider was born April 19, 1923, in Decorah, the son of William H. and Vera Richardson
Schneider.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Sadie Steele
Schneider of Dubuque; a son, Bernard L. Schneider and special friend, Edith Carey, both of Hazel Green, Wisconsin; a daughter, Judy Aberle and husband, David, of Mechanicsville; grandchildren, Katherine Leake and Karen Johansen and husband, Robert; great-granddaughters, Madison Leake and Nicole Johansen; a son, Leslie
Schneider and special friend, Susan Tatom, both of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and six additional grandchildren; and 11 additional great-grandchildren.

Mr. Schneider was born Feb. 13, 1937, in Muscatine, the son of William F. and Jennie
(Tammenga)
Schneider.
He worked several years at the HDC and was honored at the 1996 HDC annual meeting at the Arsenal Golf Club and presented with a plaque for Outstanding Achievement in the Developmental Services Program for 1995-96. He enjoyed and looked forward to the time he spent with the eighth grade students from St. Alphonsus Catholic School, and after it closed, with students from John F. Kennedy Catholic School.
He left lasting impressions on those students as well as many others whose lives he touched. Despite his severe handicap, he was always interested in bringing sunshine into the lives of others rather than focusing on the things he could not do.

Iowa - Harold L. Schneider, 79,
Wilton, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at Simpson Memorial Home, West Liberty.
The Rev. Diane Anderson will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist Deb
Mohr and vocalist Henry
Bentley. Casket bearers are Rick Hansen, Frank Townsend, Richie Creamer, James Laughlin, Elmer
Vittetoe and Kenneth Asmus. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery,
Wilton.
Mr. Schneider was born Sept. 4, 1927, in
Cedar County, the son of Frank and Nellie (Ford)
Schneider. He married Eva L. Vittetoe on March 26, 1949, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua.
He graduated from
Wilton High School in 1945. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force attaining the rank of Sergeant and serving 11 months in Seoul, South Korea.
He farmed in
Cedar County for 30 years and drove truck for Melroy Jenkins and Fischer Trucking, Durant. Most recently, he worked for the City of
Wilton Street Department.
He loved to tinker with small engines and machinery. He enjoyed visiting with his friends at the local coffee shops.
Survivors include his wife; a sister, Marie Fry and husband Chester of Wilton; his mother-in-law, Virgie Daniels of
Marshfield, Mo.; two sisters-in-law, Jean Hibden and Tony of Florida and Judith Sheveling of Nisland, S.D.; and two brothers-in-law, Elmer
Vittetoe and wife Eula of
Marshfield and Bill
Vittetoe of Seoul, South Korea.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Wayne
Vittetoe.

Iowa -- Norma F. Schneider, 77, Muscatine, formerly of
Wilton, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at Unity Hospital.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at
Bentley Funeral Home,
Wilton. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery,
Wilton.
Visitation is one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Lutheran Homes.
Ms. Schneider was born on March 9, 1925, in
Cedar County, the daughter of Harry and Florence Shadle
Schneider.
She graduated from
Wilton High School and AIC,
Davenport.
Survivors include two nieces, Janelle Gordon of
Davenport and Denice Perez and her husband, Michael, of Missouri, Texas; and two great-nephews, Michael and Christopher Perez.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Berneice Gordon.

Iowa -- Gertrude H. Schneider, 91, of
Wilton, died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Unity Hospital.
Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace United Church of Christ in
Wilton. The Rev. Larry Duffe will officiate. The organist will be Deb
Mohr. Pallbearers will be Duane Feuerbach, Richard Pahl, Tom Grings, Lester Crumley, David
Mohr, and Dick Bullard. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery,
Wilton.
Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday at
Bentley Funeral Homes in
Wilton and Monday one hour before services at the church. Memorials may be made to the church.
Mrs. Schneider was born on Aug. 27, 1909, in Muscatine, the daughter of Fred and Marie Helbling Binggeli Sr. She married Clarence L. Schneider on Nov. 21, 1928, in New Era. He died May 10, 1974.
Together they farmed north of
Wilton for 40 years.
Before her marriage she was employed at Van Nostrand Saddlery Co. in Muscatine.
She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in
Wilton and the ladies fellowship.
She enjoyed volunteering through meals on wheels and at the
Wilton Nursing Home with Bingo.
Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Dillaplain and her husband, John, of Muscatine; granddaughter, Rita Peterson and her husband, Terry, of Muscatine; a great-granddaughter, Michelle
Barham and her husband, Kelly, of Pascagoula, Miss.; and two great-great grandchildren; Madison and Canon
Barham.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; six sisters, Bertha Soltwedel, Freda Laeser, Martha Dusenberry, Eda Laeser, Lena Pape, Anna McNeal; and a brother, Fred Binggeli Jr.

Schneider, 83, of
Columbus Junction, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at the University of
Iowa Hospital in
Iowa City, from a sudden illness following knee replacement surgery.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in
Columbus Junction. Burial will be at the
Columbus City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home.
Mr. Schneider was born Aug. 4, 1917, in Lacona, the son of Joseph and Maggie
Miller Schneider. He married Verlee Bell Jones June 28, 1947, in Rock Island, Ill.
He was a World War II
Army veteran and farmed in the
Columbus Junction area until the 1980s when he semi-retired to drive for local coops and later Plank Implement, retiring in 1997.
His friends best knew him as ''Coon Dog'' because of his love for hunting raccoons in his earlier years.
He was a member of the
Columbus Junction American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Verlee; three children, Stephen Robert

Schneider, 67, Wapello, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at the Great River Medical Center, West
Burlington.
Memorial services are 11 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Wapello. The Rev. Harlan W. Winter will officiate. Burial will be at the Wapello Cemetery. After the services, a luncheon will be held at the Briggs Center, Wapello.
There will be a private family viewing before her body is cremated. A memorial fund has been established to benefit the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Wapello, and the Wapello Rescue Unit.
Mrs. Schneider was born on March 7, 1936, in Morning Sun, the daughter of A.R. 'Pete' and Blanche Catherine Marshall
McConahay. She married D. Douglas
Schneider on Dec. 27, 1959, in Morning Sun.
She graduated from Wapello High School in 1954 and
Burlington Nursing School in 1957.
She was a registered nurse in
Burlington until her husband's military career took her to various locations including a year in Germany, two years in The Netherlands and then time in Michigan, Florida, and Kansas before they returned to Wapello in 1975. She then was a teller at the State Bank of Wapello for about 20 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Wapello Study Club, all in Wapello. She enjoyed gardening, needlework and collectable houses.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Lynette S. Schneider of Apple Valley, Minn., Lisa Vorba and her husband, Jed, of Mason City and Kelli Stott of Belleville, Ill.; two sons, Kevin
