Richard Sessions of Sampson County, NC and maybe Horry, SC
I am reposting this in the Sessions forum for anyone who might find this info useful. This thread originally started in the Bladen County, NC message board. Thanks, Jenny Meade
Jean-
Yes, there is lots here, thanks you so much. I really didn't think that the Joseph in SC was my Joseph, and I'm still not sure, but if so it looks like he did detour through Horry Cty, SC. before he moved with his family to Natches, MS.
There are 2 Richard D. Sessions buried in Natchez, the elder was a Dr., and they are buried with Joseph that came from Sampson cty, but they were born after his death, so there is something missing-probably the Richard David you've talked about is the son of Joseph, and father to the elder Richard D. that I have here, although I would have thought they would have been referred to as Jr, and III, and I've got to figure out where Richard David is buried. My problem is I can verify through the cemetery records pasted in below that there was a son Philip born in January 1802, so there could not have been a Richard David two months later. I don't know what to make of that.
At any rate, here is what I have for this family group, I'll post it here so anyone searching for this connection can find it. I'm also going to try to figure out how to re-post it on the Sessions board, but I may just cut and paste.
Thanks Again!!!! :)
