I am trying to learn more about Emma Spells found in the 1880 NY Orange Co, Port Jervis Census - William Spells - a baker ae 35 ENG ENG ENG
- and wife Emma Spells - NY NY ENG
with Step daughter Anna Decker ae 12 NY NY NY

Then 1900 Census NY Orange Co, Port Jervis
Emma Spells born Jun 1847 Wid NY NY Eng
Anna E. Titsworth Daughter - ae 31 born 1869 NY NY NY
Charles E. Giblin grandson ae 15 born 1885 NY NY NY

An 1893 Will indicates that Emma Spells of Port Jervis was born Emma Malona Trim 1847 - Cayuga Co d/o Nancy Brown & Benjamin Trim. Emma Spells of Port Jervis gave a deposition at that time.

I can not prove that this is the same Emma Spells - nor can I discover what happened to her or any of her ancestors --- there is an Annie E. Giblin who died in 1939 who may be the Anna E. Titsworth - mother of Charles Giblin but the 1930 Census says she was born in Georgia.

Port Jervis Directories indicate Emma Spells is the wife of John odd - considering she is wife of William in 1880 - unles William and John are the same.
