Looking for info. on Lora Mable Surgeon, married Emmett Stanley late 1930s near Fayette Co or Greenbrier Co. WVA. Any info on Stanley would be helpful. Thanks

Lora Mable Surgeon was my paternal aunt. I have a full line on the Surgeons back to 1849.
Paul Stanley is my first cousin. Are you any relation to the Emmett Stanley, Sr. family?

Actually, you are my husband's (Paul Timothy Stanley, Jr.)'s 2nd cousin. Paul's son. You live in FL, correct? I have genealogy info. for Surgeons dating back to 1787, so thanks for replying about that. I am actually trying to get more info. on the Stanley family as I can't go back any further than Emmett Stanley, who married Lora Lynn Surgeon. Hi! Yes I am Paul's cousin, & Tim's 2nd cousin. I do live in Florida. I thought that this link was out of use since the reply is just now appearing. But I am glad to hear from you.
What do you have on the Surgeon to 1787? I hope that it is not the John Surgeon as the parents of Andrew (b Ireland) and the father of Robert (b. 1850 VA/NJ), because that is NOT the correct father of Andrew. I have a copy of their marriage registration and it gives Andrew's father as William and his mother as Margaret. If you got the information from Bennie Phillips some of his information is incorrect.
I would love to see what you have. I have traced Andrew to his marriage in 1849 in NJ, but do not know when he arrived here only that he was born in Tyrone County in Northern Ireland and the date that is on his head stone in the McVey Cemetary in Fort Springs,WV. Paul was there with me once, as I showed him where it was located.
I also have some information on Grandma Virginia Burns Surgeon (Robert's wife) that is interesting, if you are interested. However, I do not have anything on the Stanley's side of the family. Sorry. My parents did however know "Mr. Stanley" Uncle Emmett's father.
