Susoeff Family

We are Susoeffs from Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Are you, or relatives, of the Molokan religion? There is a large group of Molokans that all came from the same area of Russia (Karz) in the early 1800's.

Some are still practicing the religion, while others have moved into more of the mainstream "American" religions.

There used to be Susoeff Family reunion in Morro Bay, Ca. in June.

Since my mom (Kobzeff) is in failing health, we haven't kept up with that activity.

I hope you have good luck. I've just started searching myself.
Stephanie Swan

I'm not a susoeff, however i am trying to get in touch with one :-) I'm an old friend of jaime susoeff and I am interested in contacting her. it's been several years since we've spoken, but I think she is around age 25-27. If anyone knows how to reach her you shouldn't tell me cuz that would be kind of unsafe if you gave out that info to someone you don't know...lol. But it would be nice if any of you guys could tell her to log onto here and view this message.......my e-mail is s.grande24@yahoo.com My name is Steve, and I used to live in south carolina when Jaime and I spoke often. cheers!

Dear Jamie:

I need to check out our family history and will get back to you.

I'm sure we are related - as my mom would say "all you Susoeff's are related."

I'll check the family tree and get back to you.

Nancy Posey has a great list of family members - she is the "keeper of the names."

Good luck,
Stephanie

My Great Aunt Nadje who was married to Jim Susoeff just passed away two weeks ago. We grew up at my grandmothers on Potrero Hill next to the Molokan church. There are Jarkiehs, Loskutoffs, and Slepnikoffs in our family. Most still live in SF or the Bay Area.
I know I am related to you guys, does anyone know how though?

Hi,
I grew up on Potrero Hill in San Francisco. My dad also grew up there, and from what I understand, so did his dad. My father's name was James Frederick Susoeff -- pretty much everyone knew him as Jim though. My grandfather was Jacob "Jake" Susoeff -- and I actually think his real name was Trafim or something similar, but when his parents came to San Francisco, they gave him a more "American" name I guess. I know in some way my family is linked to the Loskotoff family and some others. Does anyone know how exactly I am related to any of you, or who my family is even?
Thanks so much,
Jaime
