Looking for any information of Emil Svennson. He came to New York City from Sweden in 1889 with his wife Mary Frances. They changed their name to Smith when they arrived (according to the family story). They were possibly from Göteborg or maybe just departed from there.

Father Axel Ferdinand Svensson born 1852 in Amal Cirkel on both a)
Mother Hilma Sofia Lofdal born 1851 in Ribbelsberga
Ernst Georg bron 1877 in the parish Kristine, Gothenborg
Harald born 1880 in the same parish
William born 1881 in the same parish
Hildur born 1883 in the same parish
Svenborg Maria b 1885 in the parish Domkyrko , Gothenborg
Elsa born 1887 in the parish Haga

In census for 1900 lived the children on different places and the youngest daughter Elsa lived in a childrens home which can indicate that the parents died between 1890 and 1900.

Hi everyone - can anyone help me in trying to trace Axel Ferdinand Svensson - born (I think) in or near Gothenberg, Sweden. His son was Harold (or Harald) Svensson born 1880 in Sweden and his G'son was alo Harold born 1905 in Sunderland, UK.

Also, if anyone has tips on researching Swedish ancestry that would be helpful too.

My grandfather, Jon Magni Svensson, was born in Vislanda, Kronoberg, Sweden emmigrated to the US in 1887, and married a woman who had been born on the neighboring farm in Sweden, Emma Christina Olsdotter. They got married in Boise, Idaho in 1892. I know of no relative that went to Australia. I wish I could have been of more assistance.

Looking for descendants of Carl and Anna Charlotta (Andersson) Svensson who according to Swedish records emigrated to US in 1869. Carl was a brother of my great great grandfather. Family stories say there was an uncle who preeeded my great grandfather to Princeton, Bureau Co., IL but can't find him in census records. Living family members do not know if he had children or anything about him so it is possible he settled elsewhere. He is some more detailed information on his immediate family.

He was born in Botelsiter, Sweden on 23 Nov 1855. He immigrated to the US in either 1882 or 1892, it hard to make out the date on the Census. He applied fro naturalization in 1906 in Hubbard County Minnesota. On the 1900 & 1910 Census he's living in White Oak, Hubbard County, Minnesota and on the 1920 Census he's in Yamhill County Oregon. He died in 1926 in Portland, Ore.

My grandfather, Axel Hjalmar Svensson, was born in Sweden (6/7/1885) and came to the US in 1913. His death certificated listed his parents as Per and Marie Svensson. Axel's sister Emma (b 7/16/1887), his sister Anna, as well as his brother, Fritz remained in Sweden. Fritz married Gerda. Emma married August (b 5/13/1886) -- last name Persson(?). Emma/August's children may have been named: Wiola, Malte, Yurri. Other decendents/spouses were: Kurt, Olle, Ulla Brit (b 1949), Christina (b 1958), Ronnie, Mona, Anna, Barbro, Walter, Augusta. Fritz & Olle may have worked for Swedish Railroad (S.J.). Emma and August may have lived in Linköping. Wiola may have married a Bengtsson -- possibly Kurt Bengtsson. ANY information regarding this family and its decendents would be appreciated. I am new at this genealogy. What I have is a lot of pictures with a lot of first names. I’m searching for the family of Svante Alfred Svensson who emigrated tu the USA and became farmer in OAK PARK, Minnesota, where he lived in 1938 when his father died. He was born in the village ÅHUS in Sweden 10th September 1884.

He was child number six in the marriage between SVEN SVENSSON, born 1849 in the parish Näsum, and HANNA ANDERSDOTTER, born 1849 in Åhus. His parents hade nine children: Ingar (1871), Anders (1873), Martin (1876), Anna (1878), Nils (1882), ALFRED (1884) Hanna (1887), Carl Wilhelm (1889) and Sigrid (1892).

Anton Svensson was a brother to my great-grandfather. They were both sons of Erik Fabian Svensson and Anna Carolina Gustafsdotter. They were brought up in the village of Liskatorp, fagerhult parish, Kalmar county in Sweden.
Anton emigrated 1881 leaving his wife and one year old son in Sweden.
It would be very interesting to know a little bit about his life in USA and if he have descendants living in USA or elsewhere. Perhaps he used the surname Borg.

Looking for any information on a Nil J Svensson His wife's name was Emma (?) Svensson. Had one daughter named Hannah E. Svensson.
They were from Oskarsham in the Misterhult Pariish.
Believe Nils to be a watchmaker in Oscarsham. If anyone has any information to share it would be appreciated! :)

I'm searching for more information about Per Svensson / Svenson, who was born ca. 1760. He married ( I think ) Elin Persdotter (also spelled Pehrsdotter). They had at least one child: Elin Persdotter, who was born on Sept. 07, 1786 in Siggeboda, Härlunda, which I'm assuming is in Sweden. She died on Apr 26, 1844 in Tröjemåla, Almundsryd.
On Jan 03, 1804, this Elin Persdotter married Håkan Svensson. The two had at least 4 children:

1. Adam Håkansson (b. Mar 16, 1814 in Tröjemåla, Almundsryd, d. Sept. 01, 1848 in Djuramåla Storegård, Tingsås)
2. Johannes Håkansson (b. Oct 12, 1805 in Almundsryd)

Looking for info on my great grandmother who came from Sweden in 1861.She was born in 1841. She married James Albert Peterson and they had five children Albert, Anna, Frank, Claude and Elroy. She died in 1912 in Sioux City Iowa.

Thanks so much Lars-Erik. Swedes are so helpful and friendly. I found my cousins from this side of the family in Malmbäck. He gave me the family line all the way back to the 1500s. I have also located the records on the Sten side as well. Seems when my uncle went to get parish records on a visit to Sweden, he forget to type them correctly. I am happy to say that Olga's family is very large and I now have a lot of new cousins. She was born on Jonshagen farm near Åkerhult.

I don't know if this will help, but.
I am from sweden and i think you're problem might be on of
spelling.
Mjalby migth be Mjälby the dotts above the "a" changes the words sound of the name there is a place whit that name in sweden and it is close to Kristianstad.
