Charles SYDNEY c1846 & his father William
I have a "brick wall" with my Gt. Grandfather William SYDNEY. I am unable to trace him prior to 1877 when he married in Barrow in Furness, Lancashire (now Cumbria). On subsequent census and documents he gives his place of birth as Luton, Bedfordshire. His marriage certificate gives his father as William SYDNEY, a mason.
I cannot find a birth for Charles or any record for him in the UK prior to 1877. Anyone any ideas?
