Your Texas ancestors may be Taxis
I have documented proof that at least one Texas family's name was changed from Taxis. They are related to the famous von Thurn und Taxis family. I have pedigree back to the 1200s. I also have lots of census and other records, and pictures that I cannot place on the website due to copyright laws, but I am willing to share privately with anyone related to the Taxis family.
