This is the Dr. Adam Thompson that m. Lettice Lee, dau. of Hon. Philip Lee (d. 1743) and his wife Elizabeth (N).
Dr. Thompson in his will names other children besides the daus. he had with Lettice Lee.
At some time Dr. Adam Thompson and Mary Skinner of Prince George's Co., MD had a son together, Dr. Alexander Skinner b. 1743, Prince George's Co., MD, d. 1788 in Richmond, VA.

Attorney was enrolled Decr 16th 1782 Maryland Prince George County Dec 7 1782
To all persons to whom this presents Indented Writing shall come I Alex=
=ander Skinner, Chirurgeon Subject of the State of Virginia and Lieute=
=nant in St. Colonel Lee's Partisan Legion send greeting in our Lord
God everlasting Whereas I formerly resided in the State of Maryland
where I yet have property and Estate and where there are still Debts
due to and from me And Whereas the duties of my Office and Com=
=mission necessarily call one to various parts of America and I deem it
fit and Expedient in my Absence to put some person in trust and
care of my Affairs here in Maryland Know ye therefore that I the
said Alexander Skinner Reposing especial trust and Confidence in
Benjamin Contee of Prince Georges County in the State of Maryland
aforesaid Gentleman have made Constituted ordained Authorized
and appointed and in my place and stead by these Presents have put the said
Benjamin Contee any true Sufficient and lawful Attorney as well to
enter into all my Estate in what County or places soever in the State of
Maryland lying and being or may ly or be: Whether Real or personal
or mixed moveable or immoveable and possession and Seisiur
thereof for me and in my Name and to my Use to take And
also I do give and grant to my said Attorney full power and
authority for me and in my Name to Commence and prosecute
before any Judge Justice or Justices whatsoever and in any Court
or Courts or other place or places Whatever in the State of Mary=
=land any Action or Actions pleas processes and Suits real personal
or misc and to appear for me and in my Name in all such actions
or suits as be or shall be Commenced taken or Sued against me
And to proceed answer persecute and Defend all and every of the
same action & actions pleas processes and suits as well by me
as against me moved or Commenced or to be moved or Commenced

And also to ask levy recover and receive for me and in my Name

Executor or Executors of Doctor Adam Thompson late of Prince Georges
County aforesaid or his heirs or their Executor or Executors their or any
of their Executors or Assigns the full Sum of four hundred pounds currency of the State
of New York that is to say Spanish Milled dollars at eight Shillings
each or any parcel of such sum of Money as is or shall be due or pay=
=able to me as a Legacy given unto me in and by the last Will and
Testament of Adam Thompson my Father late of Prince Georges County
aforesaid Physician deceased and upon the Receipt of the said sum of
four hundred pounds New York Currency or any part thereof to give
and deliver in my Name such Acquittance or Acquittances as to my
said Attorney may seem meet: And out of said sum when received
to Satisfy and pay unto Thomas Contee of London Merchant from one the
said Alexander Skinner takeing the said Thomas Contees receipt or such
of Money as may be so paid him which he the said Thomas Contee
is impowered by Law to receive And also for one and in my Name to make
Seal and deliver as my Sufficient deed or deeds in the Law all and
singular such Indenture Bonds Grants deeds or Acquittances as
well general as special and other Writings whatsoever as my Said
Attorney shall think requisite touching or Concerning the Premises or
any of them or otherwise And further any Attorney or Attorneys in
all and every of the Causes and matters aforesaid under him or me to
Substitute make and appoint and at the Liberty and pleasure of the
same any Attorney the same to Revoke And finally for me and in any
Name to Compound for and follow exercise speed execute and accomplish
and finish all and every Suits and Matters already resting in Controversy
or moved or hereafter to be moved between me only or me and others
and any person or persons and all and every other thing and things Act
or Acts Whatsoever as well touching or Concerning the premises or any
parcel thereof as otherwise for me and in my Name to cause to be done
or to do as fully and wholly as I might should or ought lawfully to do
if I were then and there personally present holding firm and Statue all and
