DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Richard K. Trevithick, 20, of Gaines, Mich., died April 14 in Balad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device exploded near his convoy vehicle. Trevithick was assigned to the Army’s 9th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany.
The incident is under investigation.
