I know my husbands family come from Ackworth and am looking for more information.

My husband is called stuart john Turton, born in Birstall 22.09.1957)

G Gr F John William (Ackworth 31.12.1874) - brothers Ernest, Fred, Walter Wilson, Lewis and sister Jane,
GG Gr F John Baum (Ackworth 09.1855) - brothers Thomas Lister, (Andrew?) Frederick, Albert, Arthur, Andrew Augustus, William, George, mathias and sisters Clara and Rowena
GGG Gr F William Augustus (Ackworth 1826)- Brother John, (sister Martha?)
GGGG Gr F Thomas (Sheffield 1793?) - brothers John and Joseph

I think their father was called John and mother Ann (from grave of Joseph in Ackworth)

We have one son Jack Edward (20.11.1989) and two daughters, Laura (16.11.1987)and Francesca (09.01.2003) .

From what i have researched so far there has been a flurry of female children in recent generations and there are no other male turtons for 3 generations (my husband's father has three sisters and his brother had two daughters) and his sisters children are not Turtons. We would love to find any decendents from our urton line.

We know George Turton (brother of Jack 1905) had three sons and one daughter, Derek, Doreen, Alan and Neil (thus cousins to Jack Turton (1931) but we do not know anythink else about them.

Hope there is someone out there who is from our line. look forward to reading any responce.
