I am Sandie and I am living in Australia. I have been entrusted with the task of tracing the Aussie branch of the great Vader tree....boy oh boy has it got some branches!

It would appear that we (my immeadiate family) are the only Vader's in Australia. extensive searching of the Australian phone books and electrol records show only us and we can account for all.

The names I have are only the male side so far but my father is searching for the original birth certificates of his great grand father.

My great grand father was Johann Carl (Karl?) Vader and his birth was registered in Hamburg but that is not where he was born. We know he died in 1911 in Sydney Australia aged 51. It is believed he had an imput into the Beale-Vader piano. He arrived in Australia from German New Guinea now Papua New Guinea after he was "speared" in the neck. He died some years later of septacemia after his original injury was knicked by a barber giving him a shave!
I believe his father was Augustus or Augusta.
My grand father's name was Rudolph Carl Vader.

I would truely appreciate any information you could supply me with. I did not think this was going to be as hard as it is!
I do have a family crest that may be of some help. I have attached a pic of it.

I hope you can shed some light because I am working in the dark!
